First things first: with the source file (src gtk gz) canyou configure & make the program yourself on the Raspi ?

Maybe you're able to answer the question yourself: create a SD-card with the soft-float image, and then a SD-card with the hard-float image, and compare what you want to compare.

Remember: one of the great things of the Raspi, is that you can freely experiment and tinker with it.
