Thank you. soon after I wrote this post, I found the same link, now problem solved. :) One question remains, why do linux always sneak up with something like this? Guess there is no consistency in linux life. :( Which fix from that link did you use? Looks like there were several different options p...

Re: 3.5" LCD on pi

There are several (many? dozens?) of 3.5" displays that can be used with the Pi. You need to specify exactly which display you have and how it connects to your Pi before anyone can give advice or help. The display is this one Keyestudio TFT LCD Display 3.5 Inch 480x320 16-bit TFT Touch Screen LCD S...

Re: static wifi ip on stretch

Do not add anything to /etc/network/interfaces except bridge interfaces. In /etc/dhcpcd.conf, add this, changing to your localnet requirements. interface wlan0 static ip_address=192.168.1.2/24 static routers=192.168.1.1 static domain_name_servers=8.8.8.8 Thanks for the reply. Re: scp password question

What permissions have you got on the .ssh directory and the .ssh/authorized_keys files on the target Pi? If the permissions are insecure the ssh login won't work. Use ls -la ~/.ssh on the destination Pi (after logging in with password) to check. Both pis are target as well as source because I want ...

Re: scp password question

You need to understand keyless ssh setup. Before you can scp files between pi's you need to be able to ssh between them without a password. I assume you are not too security conscience and will be using the same public and private keys on both pis. ensure you have the id_rsa, id_rsa.pub on both pi'...

static wifi ip on stretch

Hello, in my old installation(jessie) I did the static ip on the wifi connection. But ever since I upgrade to stretch, the old way of configuration doesn't seem to apply anymore. Re: scp password question

Sounds like something is wrong with the setup/content of authorized_keys file on the pi_zero. In order to debug, first try a simple ssh between the two and ensure that both ways do not ask for passwords. i.e. from the pi-zero run ssh -vvv <pi3-ip-address> and ensure you get in without any password ...

scp password question

Hello, I set up a pi3 and a piZero with scp using the same procedure. when I scp from the pi3, it asks me for the password but when I scp from the piZero to the pi3 it doesn't. I must prefer the pi3 doesn't asks for the password. Both pis have authorized_keys, id_rsa id_rsa.pub and known_hosts files...

Happy New Year everyone. I installed an app called proterface for my 3D printer on a Pi Zero, then set the command line in ~/.profile so it will run as soon as the pi boot up. Re: Raspberry pi zero w is slow

I have a pi3B with opencv complied on it for a school project. But it is a bit large for the school requirement. So I try to push the limit using the zero. I am not even sure if it is fast enough to do the object tracing on the zero judge it took me two days to just to compile opencv on it. :0

Re: Raspberry pi zero w is slow

Pi Zero W is painfully slow! Even if you don't care about the GUI stuff. Currently I am re-compileing opencv, added more features, it has been more than 24 hours and only gets up to 52%, Ouch!! I am hoping the next zero will have 4 cores as in Pi 3, I am sure they will come up with a faster version ...

blueman bug? Or did I do something dumb?

Helo, I am trying out bluesman the GUI bluetooth manger. I need to connect it as a serial port, I went to pair my bluetooth device, it just pairs my device without asking for the passkey, then I went to Device menu, nowhere is there shows a serial port menu that I can create a rfcomm port. However, ...
