I have Dabian Squeeze and a 16GB Card... but not sute on a windows 7 laptop what to do next. Any ideas?

Just ordered and paid for my RP-B and looking at SD Cards.

I was looking at 16gb or 32 gb but not sure what is best.

Does any brand work better with the Pi?
