Re: Raspbian Stretch (9.1) has arrived !!

BUT: now figuring out the main network adapter from script is way more tricky, because is isn't called eth0 anymore.now it is enx +MAC (e.g. enx112233445566) is this the new standard from now or is it by accident? Re: Protect SD against going read-only

What actually is the point of f2fs here? I do understand that it is designed to be "flash friendly" in terms of wear leveling and so on but I have yet to find any statement that is more robust against random power outages than anything else. Is there a simple way to get f2fs into use as the rootfs ...

Re: Protect SD against going read-only

For important things I think making the SD read only is a very good idea, almost essential. I recently made a read only SD file system using ejolson's instructions here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=161416. Works well. Good alternative: 1) rootfs is f2fs 2) logs, tempfiles and...

Re: What is the maximum micro sd card capacity for RP3

first SDs was limit 4Gb because havе byte addressing (32bit address = 4Gbytes)
new SDs (SDHC/SDXC) have sector addressing
now 32bit address = 4G*sectors512b=2Tb

difference SDHC and SDXC is logical only
SDHC - FAT32, SDXC - exFAT (factory default)
