Re: Worrying HDMI problem (with youtube)

Tried that, problem is still there, although I'm getting a picture slightly more frequently. So quite possibly not enough power for HDMI.

Well, at least it's not the Pi hardware that's the issue here. Good thing I can SSH into it and use it from there.

Re: Worrying HDMI problem (with youtube)

Oh wow. Turns out it's my monitor (BenQ E2420HD). I tried it on another HDMI TV and it displayed perfectly. The monitor is my main screen for PC use - I don't want to replace it right now. What could be the problem? I've noticed that when I'm switching over to HDMI channel the sound from the PC conn...

Worrying HDMI problem (with youtube)

Yes, another user with HDMI issues you say, but I hope to get some advice before I RMA this back to RS Components... if they accept it. Anyway I've tried all the solutions here regarding the config.txt from hdmi_safe=1 to config_hdmi_boost=7 (the max I believe?) I've instead putty'ed into the thing ...

Re: rpi-update - Firmware updater for Raspberry Pi

Hi I'm trying to PUTTY into my Pi and updating it, but I can't seem to be able to install the package. I've tried sudo wget http://goo.gl/1BOfJ -O /usr/bin/rpi-update && chmod +x /usr/bin/rpi-update and got as far as downloading it, but then chmod gives an "operation is not permitted" error: chmod: ...
