UK: Clones still take 15 - 18 years before useful.
Better to just train a few followers as replacements. That will only take months, (Maybe).

I don't have an empty mini USB port cable for my someday R-Pi.
Plus the Belkin 7 USB port expander is in use with my desktop.

So for $20.00, I have R-Pi powered, and I'll also have the empty Laptop power plug available for powering those power hungry goodies.
