Hi Thanks for the reply, I see I made a NOOB mistake I edited the config.txt with those settings but never took the hashtag from the front of the line.
I just bought a Hdmi to VGA adaptop with sound I will see how that works later and post back result.

What OS is installed? Make sure the monitor is turned on before the RPi. Do you have temporary access to another monitor? You can't 'brick' a RPi.
