Re: File Transfer using SSH from Pi to my website

I suggest you look at the documentation / faq provided by your service provider.
You have given at least two different names for your host, using server.com and webserver.com, which one is the name of your website ?

Re: rPi3 fresh install, no ssh connection via wired Ethernet

By pure coincidence I just tested the latest jessie image on an old model 2B, the version with only two usb ports. I was somewhat annoyed to find that ssh is initially disabled as described here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/a-security-update-for-raspbian-pixel/ It is amazing to how far the fou...

Re: Cannot Connect To Internet

I see two problems: 1) You do not volunteer information 2) You do not follow instructions. DougieLawson gave you the same information as I did a few posts back. To be able to find your problem you have to go back to a "reference" configuration, meaning a software configuration that has not been modi...

Re: Cannot Connect To Internet

Can somebody explain to me what is happening here ?
Why is the host name being changed ?
Why are the IP-addresses in the range 169.254.0.1 / .0.2 ?

Re: Cannot Connect To Internet

The address on the RPi should be left completely unconfigured. If no DHCP results are sent it will get an automatic 169.254.xxx.yyy/16 address. eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr b8:27:eb:8d:d2:6c inet6 addr: fe80::ba27:ebff:fe8d:d26c/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0...

Re: Cannot Connect To Internet

What did you do with the other memory card ?
- Did you download a fresh, new, image of Raspbian ?
- Did you write this virgin image to the memory card ?

After booting with a fresh, new, image what is the host name ?
What is the IP-address assigned to eth0 ?

How can I set priority to the lan (copper) connection when wireless is also running. I hate to say it but there is a neat way of doing this in windoze 10 and I need to do it on my rpi3. Re: RPi3 in industrial product.

I think you may run into a problem:
The melting point of most solder is in the region of 188°C (370°F) and the iron tip temperature is typically 330°C to 350°C (626°F to 662°F).

This might be your problem, if these cables are similar to the ones used for breadboarding, because those connectors are not really suitable for high loads.

It depends on what you did. If you configured the interface down then it will be fixed with a power cycle.
Anything else may need divine intervention.
