Re: Oregon Scientific WMR86 Weather Station

Actually there are a lot of updates but I am still working on further improvements and I have not updated instructions. There is a new project where the driver resides: https://github.com/alex-konshin/gpio-ts . The driver has been tested with RPi3 and Banana Pi M3 and it works fine. I am currently w...

Re: GPIO binary data to Influxdb

I don't know python but you do it wrong :).

The format of data is described on the link I sent you before. As I understand in your case it should be a *string" with content something like "counter value=0". But you send some expression.

Re: GPIO binary data to Influxdb

No, my question was about the database rather than sensor. It does not matter where is your sensors. I think that writing this data to local database on flash is a bad idea. If your database is remote than you probably should use HTTP. And once again, you don't need to send data so frequently when i...

Re: GPIO binary data to Influxdb

Where InfluxDB is located? If it is on another computer then it makes sense to send data directly using HTTP. I do it in my utility on C++ that can send temperature sensors data to InfluxDB: https://github.com/alex-konshin/f007th-rpi You can do it from command line using curl. And yet another useful...

Re: Oregon Scientific WMR86 Weather Station

If you really want to do it by yourself then I recommend you to look at my project https://github.com/alex-konshin/f007th-rpi It basically does what you need but for the different sensor (Ambient Weather F007TH). Of course, in your case the protocol is different but you will get an idea how such thi...

Re: Oregon Scientific WMR86 Weather Station

If you are fluent in C/C++ then you can do it. See http://www.osengr.org/WxShield/Downloads/Weather-Sensor-RF-Protocols.pdf Otherwise you should wait until somebody does it. I am doing some programming for 433.92MHz receivers and I know that this is not easy. First of all you need a good receiver. S...

Re: Live graph for Sunfounder DS18B20

Honestly I didn't look at your code but from the description I think you do it wrong. Usually it does not make sense to record temperature data every 2 seconds. It makes sense to record only changed data that usually happens rarely. Then you will probably have no such problems.

Project has been updated.
Added output in degrees Celcius.
Command f007th_send can print output to console now.

Re: Ambient Weather F007TH with cheap RF 433MHz receiver

I have added support for InfluxDB. I renamed f007th-rpi_push_to_rest to f007th-rpi_send . The command f007th-rpi_send can now send data to InfluxDB ( https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.2/ ) that can be used in many monitoring and visualization tools like Grafana http://grafana.org/ , Prometheus...

Re: RFSniffer - Can't get it working

RFXCOM is here: http://www.rfxcom.com/ SDR stays for "Software Defined Radio". Actually people on these forums usually mean USB dongles (there are many of them on the market) with RTL2832 or similar. "rtl_433" is a one of utility for these dongles. See following pages: http://www.rtl-sdr.com/about-r...

Re: RFSniffer - Can't get it working

I know your pain :) I went though similar experience recently. I tried many different things. I have 2 different SDR. I tried RFXCOM. I tried 4 different receivers with RPi and I have more of them to try :). I can summarize what I have learned: SDR with rtl_433 knows many protocols and more or less ...

Re: compatible 433Mhz USB transceivers?

I saw a good article about protocol for many weather sensors: http://www.osengr.org/WxShield/Download ... tocols.pdf. I hope it can somebody. I used this article to implement receiving of data from Ambient Weather F007TH sensors.

Re: Raspberry Pi and RF module MX-RM-5V power through gpio?

I am not an expert but from my personal experience receiver RXB6 is more suitable for Raspberry Pi because it works fine directly with 3.3V. I tried them both in one of my project and I got better results with RXB6.

Re: Controlling Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins from separate PC's

Actually you don't need Raspberry Pi to control some GPIO from Windows. You can do it directly from Windows with something like AxiCat (search in Google) or Adafruit Feather https://www.adafruit.com/feather.

Re: Ambient Weather F007TH with cheap RF 433MHz receiver

I have updated my project. Added makefiles and an instruction . The instruction still is not really comprehensive but it is better than nothing. Added new executable f007th-rpi_push_to_rest that receives data from sensors and sends to a server via REST API. Old bugs have been fixed. New bugs were ad...

Receiving data from temperature/humidity sensors with cheap RF 433MHz receiver

I have changed the subject of this thread because currently it supports 4 type of sensors: Ambient Weather F007TH, AcuRite 00592TXR/06002RM, LaCrosse TX7U, Auriol HG02832 (IAN 283582). ------- I have written C++ code for receiving data from temperature/humidity sensors Ambient Weather F007TH (~$10)...
