Re: can't displaying image using sdl

What if you change this:

Code: Select all

SDL_RWops *rwop = SDL_RWFromFile("pre.jpg","rb");
image = IMG_LoadJPG_RW(rwop);
to simply this:

Code: Select all

image = IMG_Load("pre.jpg");
?

The example uses a .png, but it works with .jpg for me as well.

Re: Introducing "ARMinARM", an STM32 Cortex-M3 breakout boar

I'm happy to report that the ARMinARM board is available now (as a 'semi' kit) on Tindie: https://www.tindie.com/stores/onandoffables/

Hope to see you in the Tindie store!

Aha, so that's how that 'picture size thing' works.

Crappy cellphone pics as promised. Re: Extension Board

So where would be GPIO pin 12 on this for example? It's hard to find (saw French, Spanish and Russian when asking the google), but this site has the pinout in the description: http://www.elecrow.com/gpio-extension-board-for-raspberry-pi-p-717.html P0 - GPIO 17 P1 - GPIO 18 P2 - R1: GPIO 21, R2: GPI...

Re: Introducing "ARMinARM", an STM32 Cortex-M3 breakout boar

Everything is still on track for 'somewhere in september'. I'm setting up a paypal webshop on the website, but I'll be looking for other distribution channels after initial release (Tindie, Amazon, what have you). The ARMinARM board comes with a 'blank' STM32 chip, with only the default ST bootloade...

Re: Introducing "ARMinARM", an STM32 Cortex-M3 breakout boar

Thanks voodoochile! If this is at least somewhat succesful I can imagine a low budget M0/M1 version, and a beefed up M4 version. The whole range is pretty much pin compatible (the M4 only needs 2 extra capacitors), so it's fairly easy to do. But for now I feel the 'mainstream' (64 pin, 72MHz, 512KB ...

Re: Preliminary B+ HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) docs/specs

I see. I'm asking because of a possible use case for the ARMinARM board. Admittedly probably not very common, but possible nonetheless. I'm using UART pins 14 and 15 to upload firmware to the STM32 using the built-in ST bootlader. And two other GPIOs, 4 and 17 (which are by default the state I need ...

Re: Preliminary B+ HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) docs/specs

EEPROM or not don't make these pins available for hacking onto as it is not conforming to the spec. Thanks for clarification on this. Without 'proper' support from RPF, I can't think of a worthy use case for these pins. If they do more harm than good I might as well leave them off. Some more questi...

Re: New B+ Case from Farnell

what I think is that the screws can be used to mount the camera to the inside of the top half of the case. I don't have this case myself, but my camera boards came with fairly long flex cables. How would those fit inside the case? Are there shorter flex cables available that would make this an actu...

Re: Preliminary B+ HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) docs/specs

I'm honestly not looking to be 'HAT compliant'. I'm confident about my product. It's not a HAT. It's an ARMinARM board. You can plug it on a Raspberry Pi. Or use stand-alone. It's awesome. Period. :D I need the Raspberry Pi to do nothing. And "do nothing" seems to be very little to put on an eeprom....

Re: Preliminary B+ HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) docs/specs

I'm working on an STM32 (ARM Cortex-M3) addon board, called "ARMinARM". It's breaking out all Raspberry Pi B+ GPIO pins, as well as all STM32 pins. They could possibly be all connected or disconnected, depending on the usecase of the end user. Originally for the "old" model B, but I'm reworking it f...

Re: B+ HAT Eagle CAD template

Just a heads-up; as it turns out, the "R=2mm" in the drawing is a mistake. It should be "R=1mm" (same as the camera slot). See @James Adams' comment here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 68#p585768

It's not fixed in the pdf yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.

Re: Preliminary B+ HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) docs/specs

@James Adams; Can I ask that you take a second look at the rounding of the corners of the display flex cutout in the hat-board-mechanical.pdf? The text says R=2mm, but the drawing doesn't reflect that. The corners in the drawing seem too small. They look more like the radius of the corners of the ca...

Re: B+ sits on top

You seem to be afraid of being "shunned" or "frowned upon", but there's no reason for anyone to "shun" or "frown" if you have a good addon board for the B+ that doesn't meet the spec a HAT. I'm going to do whatever I feel is best for my product. If that means it doesn't meet the requirements to call...

Ah yes, it seems you're right. I've probably only looked at it with my third eye. But even with my real eyes they look much smaller in the pdf. Sorry to cause confusion! I don't have the display slot on my own board so I didn't measure twice as I did with the rest. And switching between metric and i...

Re: B+ HAT Eagle CAD template

Since the spec is defined in metric and Eagle works with imperial, the header in my version is 0.0005" off compared to yours. It's all well within tolerance and it's going to fit, but I think I prefered imperial in the spec (as a big proponent of the metric system I can't believe I'm actually saying...

Sooo... Model B+ happened. Slight change of plans. :D Ironically, the two B+'s I ordered arrived on the same day the "final" prototype PCB came back from the factory last week. I still soldered it up and it fits and works great, but I also CAD'ed and sent out an ARMinARM board for the B+ and it's so...

Thanks, Jim! I've been tweaking the PCB a little bit to add some more flexibility/options, make production easier and fit better (the position of the yellow female RCA plug varies a bit from Pi to Pi). I'm expecting that latest revision from the factory this week, and it should be "the one". A first...
