Re: VSC on RPI 4B

I have been looking about for a while and even tried the headmelted instructions for code-oss, but have had no luck with it (it seems to lock up with a blank window). Has anyone had any luck getting an older version of vscode installed on the Pi4? Maybe someone has found some reliable way to get it...

Code: Select all

[email protected]:~ $ sudo apt upgrade
No luck.
The first command is not

Code: Select all

sudo apt upgrade
but

Code: Select all

sudo apt update
Try again...

Re: Changing Time format

Right click on the time and select 'digital clock settings'
Change the format to e.g. %r

For more options use 'man 3 strftime' in a terminal window.

Did you allow root logins with password in the sshd configuration (/etc/ssh/sshd_config)?

BTW: I would set up passwordless SSH logins anyway (private / public key)

Just tried it and it showed up as expected

Welk model Pi heb je?
Een Pi3B+ kan van USB booten zonder dat je eerst iets moet initialiseren.

When I try to update my rasberry pi it will not let me. I am using retropie and have tried everything that I could find
I think you need to ask on the retropie forum. Don't forget to give as much information on any error messages as possible.

I can't see the connection between your first post (that's about errors when using 'apt') and your screenshot which seems to be while building from source

Were you able to find a solution in order to create a partition directly from pi-gen ?
The source of pi-gen is at https://github.com/RPi-Distro/pi-gen
Clone it and make any mod you feel is necessary.
