This package doesn't seem to be in Debian / Raspbian at all.
You will have to ask the developers...

What "recommended software list."? Recommended by whom?

You probably installed and activated orca. Uninstalling it should get rid of "stilted AI voice"

I get a screen with a sad face.
That looks a Kodi crash in OSMC. Unlikely it causes the Pi to restart, probably just Kodi itself.

I would report it in the OSMC forums. You will probably have to upload a full debug log.

Nope. The libcamera repo is not available at all. Is it a private repo?
Mod edit: corrected URL (yes, it was a private repo)

[/code] will find every Raspberry that isn't a RPi4. [I'll leave that as an execise for you to fix that.]
Also will not find Pi with 3rd party network adapters.

When the Pi boots those 2 files will be picked up and removed from /boot automatically.
You don't have to do it manually

The thing wouldn't happen with a RPI 3.
But then you could not use 2 HDMI outputs at the same time on a Pi3.

Audio needs enabling in config.txt (or through one of the configuration utilities. Add

Code: Select all

dtparam=audio=on
to the top section of /boot/config.txt
That was the same on the Pi3...

P.S. Given how bad a solution it is, I'm amazed at how often the "crontab @reboot" thing is mentioned on these boards.
That's your opinion. Others say the same abut rc.local.

I would suggest you tell us why it's a bad solution (NB: not why *you think* it's a bad solution)

To confirm, this camera will work on older RPI including the RPI zero w with CSI? Yes. But for the Pi0 you will of course need the narrower cable, just as for the V...

So, I have two RPZWs. One will boot an 64G SD Card I have Raspbian on, and one won’t. I’ve tried rewriting the SD Card a couple of times with different SW, but nothing works. Have you tried swapping everything (SD card, power supply and all peripherals) to make sure it's the Pi and not something el...

Hopefully the pi camera python API gets updated and has a lot of bug fixes taken care of along the way. It seems to be the only way of building camera functionality into a real application that isn't incredibly laborious! That Python API was not written by us, so we are fairly unfamiliar with it fo...

The interchangeable lenses are a massive improvement. We just need the adapters for things like the Nikon F-mount There seem to be some around for Nikon F (that's the only one I'm interested in) e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AUKE1BY/?coliid=I2J71G8BK2A2XQ&colid=3SHCTSOZYRUYF&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_...
