Re: How to view OpenELEC Partition? Berry Boot

Is there a program that allows me to see linux partitions? Yes, a couple are mentioned here: http://www.howtogeek.com/112888/3-ways-to-access-your-linux-partitions-from-windows/ Apparently some can even give you write access, but I would be very reluctant to use that. As mentioned above the best wa...

Re: Problem with ext4 partition

A full rootfs can have strange effects, so I would suggest you move some files to another disk / partition. You can also clean out some stuff with 'apt-get autoclean', or more rigorously 'apt-get clean'. Maybe http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=15908 can give you some more hints....

Re: Problem with ext4 partition

Is sda2 your rootfs drive? If that's the case than that *could* be a problem.

I would still like to see the exact message that mount returns. What msg do you get if you log in with ssh and run 'sudo mount -a'?

Re: fpc-compiled programs don't run..?

Lazarus will start your program without showing a terminal window, so if it's a console program you'll have to make sure a terminal window is opened first. For this to happen you have to change the Run parameters (Lazarus menu Run / Run Parameters). I think the following should work (not tested on t...

What message from mount do you get when you start the Pi (check with 'dmesg')?

BTW: have you checked that the drive is still 'sda6'?

The problem could be anything from power issues to driver configuration, so error messages are essential.

Re: crontab on pi failing to work for me

ps what do you mean by making it executable please? If you create a script with an editor (and often also when you download it) it's just a text file. To run it you have to change its attributes to make it runnable / executable using e.g. chmod +x scriptname BTW: I actually did not read your first ...

Re: crontab on pi failing to work for me

Did you make the script executable?

Another possible problem could be access rights. Your script apparently needs root privileges so you have to edit crontab with

Code: Select all

sudo crontab -e
otherwise the script runs with the rights of the current user (pi)

I find the folders on the computer when browsing on the Pi but when I click on them I get a message saying "Invalid Argument". I had the same problem. Additionally, in the event log (under Administrative events) I found the message The server's configuration parameter "irpstacksize" is too small fo...

Re: RaspBerry Pi(e) Model C (imaginations & wants)

As for USB boot. I found something called BerryBoot. ^u^
It still boots from an SD card. Only the OS partition is moved to a USB connected medium.
And there's nothing really special about it. I (and loads of other Pi users) do this on all my Pis without using Berryboot.

Is that the keyboard layout for xbmc or for when you log in using SSH?
Not sure if you can change the layout used *inside* XBMC.

When you're logged in using SSH you can use

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
after this you need to reboot.
