Re: VSCode Official build with C++ support

A quick question will this upgrade / mess up the headmelted version of OSS? it's not an upgrade. It's the first 'official' arm version, for now only available from the 'insider' (beta, pre-release) channel They can exist side by side. You'll find separate data directories in ~/.config And a future ...

Re: Uninstall Headmelted VSCode?

I just swapped versions, but did not use the script last time I installed headmelted's version IIRC the script in the end does a 'normal' install of a deb file Try sudo apt purge code-oss This will uninstall the program and should also remove all data. No use keeping it. The 'official' version uses ...

Re: USB suddenly stopped working

Thanks, I am using the original Zero. Note that I have tried to use the port that is not attached to the Zero4U and it doesn't work either, so you are saying that the Zero 4U may still be at fault? If the Zero4U is connected to the Pi0 then there is no USB port on the Pi0 that is *not* connected to...

Re: Not getting IP address for raspberry pi

It's obviously your service / script that interferes with normal operation.
As we don't know what it' doing that's all that can be said about it...

Check the systemd log files (use journalctl and 'systemd status') to find out more.

sudo pip3 pip setuptools wheel
Are you sure this was in the instructions?
I would expect the second 'pip' to be 'install'...
Do you have a link to the instructions?

Re: Remote code editing on raspberry pi

If you have a Pi3B / 4B you can use VSCode's remote editing feature, which is a fairly recent addition. Have a look at the Remote development plugin. It will also need some other plugins installed. IIRC on the 3B I had to install some stuff manually on the Pi but on the 4B everything was installed t...

Check your apt source files: /etc/apt/sources.list and all files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
You're looking for lines starting with 'deb' followed by the URL

Remove the offending line (or the whole file if it's the only source in a file)
