these commands worked for me, I kept shorting out the raspberry pi, and it kept hard rebooting causing the file-system to get corrupt.

sudo umount /boot
sudo fsck.fat -a /dev/mmcblk0p1
sudo fsck.fat -a /dev/mmcblk0p8
sudo reboot
