Use your Pi as a Caller ID Display

Hello from Vienna, I have put some components together to make a Caller ID Display which works in combination with your Android mobile phone. If there is an incoming phone call the number and if exists the name of the caller is displayed via a POPUP window on the screen of your Raspberry Pi. To work...

Re: Simon's accelerated X development thread

Hi, Would it be possible to have an application specific filter (or blacklist) for applications which behaves badly with x acceleration ? So badly behaving applications like IDLE would continue to render with CPU code and all other applications would use the GPU. Regards, Peter Well I could talk for...

Today I installed Gambas 3.3.90 from svn which needed some hours, but
the result is worth it. Gambas from svn compiles on the raspberry pi without
any problem and runs fine.

liefert folgende Daten:

/dev/mmcblk0:

Well, I tried a more common mode
DMT mode 16 which is 1024x768 @ 60 Hz which leaves me with a black screen after reboot

Thank you for your patience,

zip up and attach your edid.dat:

Code: Select all

/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -d edid.dat
and tell me which groups/modes you have tried.

HDMI modes broken after apt-get upgrade

Hello,
After doing an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade (17.09.2012) most of the HDMI modes seem not to work as expected.

Symtoms:
Whatever hdmi mode and hdmi group selected in the config.txt the hdmi output mode is just 640x480 or it is 1600x1200.

Re: tkinter problem

Hi, 1. The lamda construct is just like a function. We need it, otherwise the Python interpreter would try to optimise the code, which would lead to a program which does not work how a programmer would expect. 2. The run(commands[num]) just calls the program when the Button is clicked which is defin...

Re: How to block IPs that fail to SSH?

Hello,

There exists a small perl script which blacklists failed login attempts.

I used it some time and it worked well for me.

Re: Bug reporting in Raspbian

@plugwash So now the armel image is no longer available for download. So how can I check against Debian 6 stable ? It would be good to keep Debian 6 as a reference image for download.

Do we have a chance now to get reportbug working with raspbian ?
