If your address seems to appear on a public website, why not post that website address here, and let us all try it?

Re: LCD screen cutting off windows at the bottom

It's always going to be a problem when you use a GUI on a small screen - many dialogue boxes and fixed sized windows are too big. I'm guessing you're using a 3.5" diagonal touchscreen? You can always ask the Pi Foundation itself about smaller or scrollable windows - but not here - this forum is main...

Re: LCD screen cutting off windows at the bottom

If you have connected (or can connect) a physical keyboard, does holding down 'alt' then allow you to physically drag the window around with the mouse (from anywhere in the window's centre) to show the buttons you need access to at the bottom?

As said above in different words :) : Refurbished network laser printers for c.£100 might be your best bet. Shouldn't that be

I guess we need to know more details about the exact problems you're having, and what results you're getting.

Re: I can get the ISO downloaded but can't seem to get it to load

If you’re new to this, but not new to IT, I would suggest you ignore NOOBS and PINN and go straight to download Raspbian Buster Desktop with recommended apps., and take it from there: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ SD cards are cheap, so you can always keep one for Raspbian, and get...

Re: How to turn on r.Pi after shutdown?

Try the simple solution first. Add the line dtoverlay=gpio-shutdown to the file /boot/config.txt, and put a simple push-to-make button between GPIO pins 5+6. Reboot. That's it. Confirm GPIO pin numbering/location here: https://www.bigmessowires.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Raspberry-GPIO.jpg You c...

There are instructions out there on how to install Chrome as an add-on to LibreELEC Kodi:

Not tried this, so not sure how well it works (if at all).

Re: HDMI and touchscreen for pool monitoring system

There are lots of HDMI-connected touchscreens for the Pi, e.g.: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YCBWRQP/ With Raspbian, these screens are plug-and-play - no drivers required, even for the touch facility. The touch-output (and power input) is via a single USB cable - leaving your GPIO entirely free ot...

That is a full-HD file, with quite a high bit-rate.

Can the sender send you a lower resolution, smaller frame-size and/or lower bit rate version to try?

Re: Remote power button or reset button?

Putting a SPST push-to-momentary-make switch across GPIO pins 5 and 6 performs something like what you want, but it's not remote! You have to modify the /boot/config.txt file too. See here:

FWIW I can absolutely confirm that if your wpa_supplicant.conf file has been "got at" by a word processor, "helpfully" replacing the double quotes with "pretty ones", then it will fail. Smart double quotes - what I call 66+99 - WILL FAIL, Dumb double quotes - what I call 11+11 - are NECESSARY. Easy ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 Lightning bolt and no red light

Check and double-check the circuitry you connected. It is easy to get wrong - we all do it, and it could be over-stressing your power supply (i.e. trying to pull too much current from it) causing the behaviour you're seeing.

Agreed with the above: where did it come from? I also created a panel "accidentally" while testing a touch screen, by some combination of touch/drag/click.

I can't do it again!

How did I do it (albeit unintentionally) anyone?
