Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Thanks for the help and putting up with my lack of knowledge. I am not an expert in audio but have some decent knowledge and will probably learn a lot more through the course of this project. Stupid me getting volts and current mixed up. Well my understanding the Audio Injector comes with a good A-D...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Thanks again for all your help everyone. Unfortunately, the High Pi case will not be big enough  as I am going to be using a battery and oled as well in the build. I was looking for a case around 200mm x 90mm x 50mm. Audacity sounds good for my needs to start with. Can you adjust the recording ...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Thanks for the help both of you. I thought I hadn't seen much RCA inputs before but maybe they are more popular in Australia (where Flatmax is based) or it could be that it was a requested feature. To answer drgeoff's question, I am aiming for my portable recorder to be similar (but possibly a bit w...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

I have looked at this and the Stereo Soundcard seems to not have any TRS 1/8" (3.5mm) microphone jacks. This is the only thing I really need from the add on board I use for this project. If anyone has wired up a TRS microphone jack to a Raspberry Pi I would love to hear how. Thanks, LouisP Note - I ...

Re: Permissions

This guide explains it well - http://www.dummies.com/computers/raspberry-pi/working-with-file-permissions-on-your-raspberry-pi/ . The bit relevant to you is the bit about chmod. You will want to use this command sudo chmod a+w filename-or-full-filepath Enter it to terminal and it grant everyone perm...

Re: STS-PI Roving Robot

Yes you can use a Pi Zero W. You can add facial recognition with a normal USB camera plugged into the Pi and OpenCV. Yes you can use usb microphones and speakers. It doesn't come with code for AI Roaming or most of the stuff you want to do but you can code it yourself or find code elsewhere so yes A...

Re: Using lipo out of power banks

Okay, thanks for the information. I definitely won't be getting the batteries out of a power bank now but power banks still do offer good amount of mah for not much money. Anyone got a recommended power bank for the Pi or do most work fine with the Pi?

Okay, so the batteries contained inside this power bank are 3.7V what could go wrong if I connected one of these to a board like the Zero Lipo or an Adafruit Feather?

Great features and value but it looks a bit messy because there are so much stuff jammed onto a small board.
