How to dispose of broken lipo

So I accidentally cut a lipo at the side and it sparked and is now warm. How can I quickly and safely dispose of it?

Thanks,
LouisP

Thanks! This does help. Maybe I can finally get that Dash Button to work in Python after the code in the Magpi article was shockingly bad!

Re: Do I need a breadboard??

I don't know your exact setup but here are some general rules: 1. If the circuit requires capacitors, resistors, transistors etc. use a breadboard 2. If you don't have to add extra components as listed above you can directly connect everything to the Pis pins 3. If you can solder and want to make yo...

I have to click any of the bits at the top (blog, downloads etc.) twice to actually direct me to the right page. The first time I click them they just get a bit of colour under them.

I am not of much help but there was recently an article in the Magpi about local differential GPS.

Edit - I found the project I am talking about (https://projects-raspberry.com/raspberr ... ntial-gps/)

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Thanks for the help again! :D I presume you are talking about the Audio Injector Ultras 1/4" jacks. The adapters would be the best option but trying to make the product portable will probably mean I can't fit the 1/4" jacks and adapters inside the recorder. I have 10 days to decide whether to back t...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Okay thanks for the help. Glad to hear you got your internet problems sorted as they are very annoying - I recently had a guy high on drugs crash into my wifi box recently (not my ISPs fault though).

128 x 64 I2C OLED Setup Guide

Here is the guide I just made - https://hackaday.io/project/159744-pi-portable-recorder/log/149454-oled-setup-guide. Full credit goes to Adafruit and Matt Hawkins (Raspberry Pi Spy) for the code. I just added my input as well (problems encountered and extra info). I will add the link for next guide ...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Going back to the Audio Injector Zero, I have looked closer and it seems it has input LGR pins broken out on the right of board. From my quite limited knowledge LGR is used in a TRS jack which would mean I can just wire it directly up to a TRS jack. Am I right saying this?

Thanks,
LouisP

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Thanks for the help. Any idea in the name or channel of the YouTube vid, is it the one by HackaweekTV? My project does not require an internet connection but it would be an good extra feature to have (code to directly upload the audio to a seperate phone is possible). I also only need 1 USB port for...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

Thanks for the help. The bats was just really a thing I was just curious about and not the main aim of the project. The Pi 3 would definitely be nice but I would have to solder of the USB ports and Ethernet ports to make it practical in my project and cut down the power consumption by disabling a fe...

I very much doubt this would solve your problems. The best option is using a UPS and I would be interested to hear why this would not be suitable for you. This thread should help you - viewtopic.php?p=797913

Re: STICKY: The I2S sound thread.

Hey as some people might have seen on the forums I am currently planning a Pi Portable Recorder that I plan to use to record birdsong. Does anybody know of an board featuring an ADC, ability to add stereo mics and preferably a 3.5mm mic jack that I can use via the GPIO pins. It needs to be able to r...

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

This is probably all wrong, but would the Audio Injector Ultra 2 be suitable for bat recording as well as bird recording (obviously altering the settings for each one though)? I think you would need a different microphone for this if can do it though. The Kickstarter says The sound card is ultrasoun...

Re: 24" touchscreen for raspberry Pi 3 B+

This thread (viewtopic.php?f=63&t=217549&p=1337804#p1337804) is almost exactly the same. There are some 24" touchscreens that will work with minor coding but I doubt many, if any, will out of the box.

The first one does work with a few extra lines of code (people cleverer than me on the forum will know) as some of the question and answers of the product show. I have heard of no success with the second , third or fourth screens (is probably still possible but a lot harder). Sorry but that is about...

I actually already have a Zoom H1 and made my first recordings on it last week (listen to unedited Nightjar recording linked at end) but I hope this project will help me learn more about audio. Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

The only reason I haven't grabbed an Audio Injector Zero of Amazon is that it doesn't have a 3.5mm mic jack as mentioned in a previous post. As far as I know, the AI Zero supports stereo audio if you can wire up a suitable jack somehow.

Re: Pi Portable Recorder - Project Progress

DrGeoff note I said ' could this be better?' not stating that is was better. ;) Anyway, to answer your question Dr Geoff, it is supported in Raspbian no problem (with minor bit of well documented code), it quotes some decent specs (although not many specs are specified as noted by wh7qq) and it is a...
