Re: Best Small Cheap Way To Power A Pi

Thanks again, those ones from RS look perfect! Will be buying them. I meant protection as in it is harder to bend, crush and puncture 18650s but protection circuit built-in looks like a good idea.

Re: Best Small Cheap Way To Power A Pi

Thanks for the replies. The 18650 batteries look like good value and capacity. Also, the lipo batteries are good value and capacity as well. However, I heard connecting lipo batteries in parallel is dangerous. I will probably opt for the 18650 batteries as they can easily be bought and need less pro...

Re: Best Cheap Lipo Batteries For Pi

Power banks are definitely good value for money and a good way to power a Pi but are either too thick or too big for the project I have in mind.

Thanks for the quick reply. What would the best choice be for a cheap very compact battery pack for the pi then? Thanks for any further help,

Best Small Cheap Way To Power A Pi

Could anyone recommend me some cheap lipo batteries with a capacity of 3000mAh+. By cheap I mean around £8. Thanks for any help in advance, LouisP

Edit: They don't have to be lipo batteries as long as the batteries are 3000 mah+, under £10 and 120mm x 100mm or less.

Re: AIY Vision Kit Camera Module

Thanks for the reply. It looks cool but with the price probably going to be £45 plus another £25 for the camera no thanks Google. Spend my money on some other stuff instead.

AIY Vision Kit Camera Module

Hello everyone the AIY Vision Kit website clearly states that the AIY Vision Kit is only compatible with the Camera Module V2. Has anyone tried it with the V1 yet? Is it not high quality enough (less Mega Pixels). or does it still work with a bit of hackery? Thanks for any help,

Re: Closing Arduino Sketch

Thanks for the reply. by closing it I mean like closing the tab on the Pi there doesn’t seem to be a cross in the top right corner to close the tab.

Closing Arduino Sketch

Hello I am using Arduino IDE with Raspbian Stretch and a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B with the Official Touchscreen and there doesn't seem to be any way to close an Arduino sketch! How can I fix this?

This subforum doesn't just need locking it needs deleting.
Agreed. Although I do miss the Pi Store. I bought a Sense Hat from the Pi Store for £17 now it would cost me £30!

Edit: Actually I got it from the Raspberry Swag Store, is that different?

Small typo in issue 63

Just a small thing, but I thought I would just say the review for the OLED Bonnet in issue 63 says the price is $32 when the price is actually $22.

I know this is an old post but I use a 1m long USB cable to connect the Pi and the Touchscreen with no problems!

What is the JP6 connector for

I have been meaning to ask what the connector bit was for in the middle of the AIY Voice Kit. After doing some research I have found out there is a JP6 connector thingy (technical term). What can this be used for?

Thanks for any help,

Can anyone recommend a good microphone

Hello everyone, could anyone recommend microphone board that preferably fits a Pi Zero, can record distant sounds (bird song) and is under £30? At the moment the ReSpeaker 4 Mic Array looks like my best option but I am looking for a smaller board if possible.

Re: AIY Projects Vision Kit Coming Soon!

I know! The aim of AIY Projects is to make AI accessible to makers but this is the complete opposite! It is near impossible to get the new kit! Even if you live in the country it is supposed to be available. It completely impossible to get in the UK until Easter time!

Keep on-screen keyboard at the bottom of the screen

Hello everyone I have just got the Pi Official Touchscreen and it is really good, however, I have installed the on-screen keyboard and it always goes to the top of the screen not at the bottom where I want it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
