Re: SD card instructions on the wiki

I agree with RobParker there is nothing to show how to setup the current Debian image in the Wiki the beginner wiki assumes using a prebuilt SD card from the Rpi shop that may not exist anymore, but the cards may be acquired in the future from Farnell or RS

The Raspberrypi"s were completed on time but after all the affair over them they have become shy and ran away to not be seen again.

The Alpha boards could do 6 to 20 volts the production boards are 5 volt microusb the FAQ should help clear up some of your questions.

Re: A bit of philosophy on why WE learned . . .

Sorry I used the term mode but the correct term is runlevel.

Runlevel 5 is the default and to make it go to the console I think it is runlevel 2.

Someone who is more familiar on how to do this please expand on it so I do not confuse anyone.

Thank you.

Re: How is it made?

I would say that since the foundation is dedicated to educating children that they would have made sure that the factory producing the product would be producing them humanely.

This question has been asked before so maybe a search of the forums may yield your answers.

Good job this will definitely help those who are not fluent in Linux.

This is How I did mine and my brother, Way easier than trying to get Windd to recognize my SD cards Etc.

Looks good piglet the same way I did mine after fighting with windd, win32imager made it easy and concise without further research and reading of manuals.

I used disk utility in 11.10 but got same picture.

Excerpt from main page.

We hope the Raspberry Pis from the first batch will be out of testing by the end of Thursday, and on their way to freight.

I do not think there is a locked schedule as such or will be until it happens.
