Re: Raspbian binaries now available (MESS, MAME, neogeo)

That was my bad, the zip file does not include the roms folder. The roms folder can be made anywhere. just make sure you put the path in the command line when you run it: ./gngeo -i /path/to/folder/

Re: Please help, I want to play Pacman on my pi.

Just to say, with the overclock, so many more games are now playable. Street Fighter 2 (CPS1) is now 100% playable, and some CPS2 games are even running. Also a lot of Treasure and CAVE shooters are running, so its not just the classics that run :)

My e14 Pi is running fine on Turbo mode, my RS Pi rebooted once on Turbo.

I can now play Street Fighter 2 emulated perfectly with AdvMame :)

Re: It's Alive!!! Portable USB Powered Pi

I'm sure those other chargers will work fine as long as they output 5v and 700mA or higher. The Duracell charger was 5v 500mA and it worked fine for just the Pi. My issue with the other chargers is they are a lot bigger. I'm going for ultra portable with my project so the Kodak power pack is a great...

It's Alive!!! Portable USB Powered Pi

Hey all, So I've been working on my portable Raspberry Pi gaming / uber machine. I posted before about using the small 2inch Adafruit LCD display, powered through the GPIO pins. I was trying to find a good way to power the Pi and borrowed a friends Duracell USB battery charger. It will power the Pi,...

Better Playstation Emulation on the Raspberry Pi (Binaries)

Hey all! Big thanks to CodenameV on my blog for pointing me to PCSX_ReARMed. I have it compiled for the Pi and it has been playing great. Pretty much fullspeed at all the games I throw at it. Now I'm just working on getting sound going and a better fullscreen. Let me know what you all think and if y...

Re: Raspbian binaries now available (MESS, MAME, neogeo)

hm I've changed the os to raspbmc (based on raspbian but with preinstalled and configured xbmc) Now when I'm trying to run ./gngeo -i ../roms/ I get bash: ./gngeo: no such file or directory no matter I'm running it from ~/gneogeo/bin and it is there. :( P.S. run it not under xbmc (there is a way to...

Re: Raspbian binaries now available (MESS, MAME, neogeo)

I downloaded quake 3. when I try to run start.sh I get an error saying: 10446469: vchiq_lib: Very incompatible VCHIQ library - cannot retrieve driver version * failed to open vchiq instance The game then doesn't start. I'm running raspbian using berryboot. What can I do about this? I haven't tried ...

Re: Coin Operated Arcade Machine (MAME)

Does it have the original RGB/CGA 15khz arcade monitor in it? There are a couple ways. The problem is that the Pi doesn't have VGA output. There are TONS of VGA to RGB CGA converters out there. RCA and HDMI to RGB CGA are rare and almost impossible to find. It may be expensive, but an HDMI to VGA ac...

I am in awe of Eben's responses. I don't think I would have kept that cool or come up with well articulated answers once the conversation went that far off the deep end.

Front page links

Did the front page links change / get re-arranged?

I noticed by habit I went to click on the forums link and it was now the FAQs lol. Looks like the text is a bit smaller and rearranged for the codec license link.

Re: microSD Flush adapter.

Does anyone know how much the Adafruit one will cost? The adafruit page says 15 to 20 days till stock and only seems to have a signup page. The kickstarter one is only $12 shipped.

I LOVE Adafruit, but their items can be pricey.
