Re: AdvanceMAME and Frontend fully configured OS Image insid

I'm currently working on PiMAME 0.4

I'm hoping to include gamepad/xbox360 controller support, a change to also show wifi ip, and fixing the rom upload 2MB limit.

I only compile on the Pi itself. I've been tempted to try cross-compiling, but I usually just let everything run overnight.

Re: AdvanceMAME and Frontend fully configured OS Image insid

So I consider myself a pretty competent IT person, but I am definitely more DevOps than SysAdmin. I inquired about the FAT32 partitions with someone who has many more years of experience than I, and its not easily doable. The problem is that Windows is unable to view multiple partitions on SD Cards ...

Re: AdvanceMAME and Frontend fully configured OS Image insid

Small update: http://blog.sheasilverman.com There's a config change to get rid of that annoying sound on the AdvanceMENU frontend. The next version I'm working on will have a custom bootface (already working), gpiokeys and joystick drivers installed, and a feature I may need help on, but i like the ...

That's not a bad idea :)

To keep it short though, If it wasn't for the Rich Moore AMA on Reddit, it never would have happened.

AdvanceMAME and Frontend fully configured OS Image inside

Hey All, Long time no see here in the forum! With winter break in full swing I have had some breathing room to work on things again. I spent some time setting up a Raspbian Image that is fully setup, has AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMENU, and auto logins and runs the MENU frontend at bootup. It also has S...

I'm working on the DeskCade, (http://www.deskcade.com), which is a mini Raspberry Pi sized cabinet. http://blog.sheasilverman.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/deskcadeproto4buttons.jpg I'm going to be releasing the source files soon so you can cut it yourself, but I'm looking at offering the laser cut...

Re: The DeskCade - Interest Check

I like it quite a bit.. I think getting an idea on the overall cost to get the whole thing setup. So screen, buttons, and joystick + case. Good idea. $25 ~ $35 - the case itself $18 - 1 mini joystick straight from reseller $35 - 2" - 3.5" screen $2.50 per button $16 Arduino So, to build it yourself...

Extra Info:

The SVG files and Arduino are free / open source for anyone to use.

I'll be selling laser cut case kits for around $25 ~ $35 depending on costs / time on the laser cutter.

The DeskCade - Interest Check

Hey All, For the past few months I've been working on my DeskCade Arcade Raspberry Pi project. It has been featured on the front page here and in the Orlando Sentinel. I'm currently gauging interest on who would want one once I complete a final prototype. I'm already on prototype 4. The DeskCade is ...

AdvanceMAME .debs plus another goodie :)

Hey All, It's been a long time coming. Between work, prototyping, other complications I present the AdvanceMAME Debian package. I was able to get past the issue with AdvanceMAME compiling on Raspbian. It's the sh2 processor for the Saturn, so I had to disable that. After that, it compiles. I have th...
