Having trouble with LIRC and light not responding

I'm going off of this tutorial http://www.raspberry-pi-geek.com/Archive/2015/10/Raspberry-Pi-IR-remote and I've got the Pi wired exactly as shown in the attached picture. Set up everything and LIRC seems to be working fine according to the sudo /etc/init.d/lirc status Apr 22 18:46:02 raspberrypi lir...

Not receiving signals from IR remote to LIRC

Having some trouble here. Cant receive signals from any remote I have to my Rpi1. I've tried both sudo irrecord -d /dev/lirc0 -n capture and mode2 -d dev/lirc0 neither work. I'm going off this http://www.raspberry-pi-geek.com/Archive/2015/10/Raspberry-Pi-IR-remote tutorial. Even tried to switch out ...

Can I control this unit via Home Assistant/ Rpi?

I recently hooked up a few of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DQELHBS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to my raspberry pi via an RF Tx & Rx. I'm hoping I can control my wall-mounted AC the same way as it does not have any type of remote for it. I saw this unit and it seemed as ...

Re: Arduino Ethernet R3

I saw that, but I'm still not sure how to actually access the thing. Looked at my Switch's config and it doesn't say it has an IP so how do I access it/ upload code to it? Every tutorial I read was talking about the USB cable to transfer programs to the board. So do I need to buy the USB 2 Serial Co...

Re: Automated OpenVPN Server Setup Script

Having a little trouble with the script. Mainly with the TLS option. Keep getting the error when I attempt to log in. I just need to know how to either properly config the TLS section that seems to be absent when I create the client .ovpn file or what I need to remove in order to disable the TLS. I ...

Re: TLS Error OpenVPN

Wow! I didn't even know that NOT using TLS was an option. So I attempted to remove everything I could on the server.conf file as well as the client.ovpn file but it still gives me a TLS error. I'm not 100% on what I need to remove from the files to remove TLS. It does seem to be making it along a bi...

TLS Error OpenVPN

Hey guys, Hoping to setup an OVPN server on my Raspberry Pi 3. Trying to have my Windows 7 machine connect to it as a client. Windows 7 machine has ESET Smart Security for anti-virus but I've configured it to allow connections both ways on 1194 and basically give OVPN free reign. I have both routers...
