Re: "con2fbmap 1 1" in "/etc/rc.local" only after 66 seconds, better place?

Thank you, appending "fbcon=map:10" to /boot/cmdline.txt did the trick! Since that maps tty1 to fb1 at the start, console output starts when display gets initialized after 22 seconds. This is very useful since now I can see everything after 22 seconds, including file system check that increases boot...

"con2fbmap 1 1" in "/etc/rc.local" only after 66 seconds, better place?

After powering Pi ZeroW the SPI display gets black (initialized) after 21 seconds. But only after 66 seconds the last boot messages in console get displayed. I am searching where I have to do "con2fbmap 1 1" better than in "/etc/rc.local" (66s). I have this in "/etc/modules-load.d/fbtft.conf": spi-b...

Yes (you can even connect two SPI displays if needed as /dev/fb1 and /dev/fb2). https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=157618#p1214626 Last weekend I built my 1st mobile Pi with that (with power switch and reset button): https://twitter.com/HermannSW/status/1038781298968547328 https://st...

Re: "sudo ifup wlan0" shows "unknown interface wlan0"

Try these sudo ip link set wlan0 down sudo ip link set wlan0 up Thank you, that worked for me while ifup did not. Pi ZeroW was connected to ESP-01s module access point. For some reason the connection dropped and "ip link show" showed wlan0 in DORMANT state. First I tried only your 2nd command, that...

Thanks for all that information, I will try after drone bromb dropped (hopefully) lost drone in 10m height and lost airplane in 20m height, and having Pi ZeroW autonomous fly the E52 drone as onboard pilot ... For v1 camera you get cheap cameras with lense if you search for NoIR. I don't know of any v2 camera being sold with lense, was surprised to see the arducam you mentioned. I did add M12 lense mount and different lenses to one of my v1 cameras first. Then I did same for my only v2 camera, all was eas...

Pi Zero has no bluetooth, so no. Pi ZeroW has bluetooth. I use wireless keyboard with dongle, that would work with Pi Zero with USB converter. I did order it again as backup after realizing it does cost less than 5$ with free shipping: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/English-2-4GHz-Wireless-i8-Keybo...

I cannot help on the case, but my experiments lightning a room with two 3W IR Leds showed no noticable difference to using just one. You may want to try, and if acceptable, you need to find box with 1 IR light.

Slightly off topic, but you can definitely run a Pi Zero without battery, powered wireless because you can do that even with drones! This drone does fly without any battery, gets powered wireless! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_10oKH6z4A https://stamm-wilbrandt.de/en/forum/wireless.power.drone.png

No that is NOT possible, the camera out put is digital (serial), and Cannot be directly used to input analog video.
