Re: Update Bluez version PI 3

I compiled and installed bluez 5.43. I can conifrm that it works.
Now I need to find a way to install the pulseaudio bluetooth module without reinstalling the bluez dependency. If I run apt-get pulseaudio module it wants to install bluez again and that will downgrade my bluez version again.

Re: Update Bluez version PI 3

Hello, I have been thinking about updating the Bluez on my Pi3 since I have been experiencing hang ups with my bluetooth speaker. I have read this thread a couple of times and understand most of the update process. My question is what does the patching do and is it still required if I am compiling a...

Re: Bluetooth & Anker A7908 Speaker

I have an Aukey speaker and have the same issue. Unfortunately I do not have good news, I still haven't been able to solve it neither has this guy. See link below: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=163870 The only way around it is to reboot and reconnect. Then the issue happens...

Re: Bluetooth drops and locks up

I connected my speaker again yesterday and the connection lasted for 60 minutes. Thanks for filing the bug report. I was thinking about this last night and the only way around this problem so far is to restart the pi which is really annoying. Have you been able to get the bluetooth module to work wi...

Re: Bluetooth drops and locks up

I have the same problem on two different sd cards. The first one was set up back in March and the bluetooth audio would work flawlessly then it stopped working after a few updates. I think it stopped working after I updated in July. I set up a brand new card on the weekend. Grabbed the latest versio...

Re: Bluetooth device not showing up in Pulseaudio

Thanks. I did manage to get the headphones connected although I'm not sure I did exactly what you said. I have two Bluetooth icons as a result of installing stuff recommended in other threads and that could be part of the problem. But to be clear, when you say "little speaker" do you mean the one i...

Re: Bluetooth device not showing up in Pulseaudio

Hey, About this ""Connection failed - Use the audio menu to connect to this device," , what this means is they want you to right click on the little speaker on your taskbar and select your bluetooth speaker. It should work if you successfully paired your bluetooth device. That's how mine connects. A...

Re: Bluetooth Audio

I have pretty much the same problem. My bt speaker gets connected, plays audio for a bit and stops playing while still being connected. Then I go into the gui to disconnect in but the bt gui freezes. I've had that problem for about 3 months now. I even created a thread but no one bothered to reply t...

Re: Bluetooth speaker stops playing but stays connected

Bump, I ended purging pulseaudio and the bluetooth packages, then installed them again. My bluetooth speaker now stays connected to the pi but the audio does not get routed to the bt speaker. The bt speaker is also not listed under sound settings. I'm guess the speaker isn't being detected by pulsea...

Re: Bluetooth not working after update - information needed!

I successful connected and played some music to my bt speaker earlier and then I switched off the speaker and turned off blue...

Bluetooth speaker stops playing but stays connected

Hello, I have a rpi 3 runnning the latest version of raspbian and all my packages are up to date as well. I'm using the rpi3 to run amazon alexa and a desktop calendar/dashboard/notification centre.
