Re: RPi 4 and USB3 and Gbit ?

It is not possible to post feature requests to a post that has been locked. That is why such topics are always new threads. It would be better to have a single sticky thread where people could post in a way like the "Introduce Yourself" thread. True, locked threads can't be posted to. But they can ...

Re: RPi 4 and USB3 and Gbit ?

You know that's just going to lead to posts consisting of "I know there's a post about this, but" or "I really don't have time to search or read through threads, can you just answer my question now please?"

Re: How to port forward on a RPi Router

Looks like it's IPTables based on that tutorial with some NAT, so this may help, it's Ubuntu, but the details are going to be the same for a Debian based distro.

Re: Fan that came with pi 2 kit doesn't seem to come on.

On the Pi 2 a fan and heatsinks are superfluous. You're never going to get that model up to a temperature where either of those solutions will do any good. As you mentioned you've never seen the temp over 50C, and the Pi 2 is rated to handle up to around 80C. So to be safe, I would just remove the f...

Hi, since OpenWRT is a pretty specialized distribution, you'll probably find better answers on their forum. They're at: https://forum.openwrt.org/index.php

Re: How to start iptables on raspbian?

You could either install a package to set your IPTABLES rules persistent, or as knute mentioned, learn UFW.

Code: Select all

sudo ufw allow http
sudo ufw enable
sudo ufw status

Re: How to start iptables on raspbian?

Hi, I think iptables are built into the kernel for Raspbian.

Do you get an output when you type

Code: Select all

sudo iptables -L

Re: Printing with the Pi

Hi, the HP drivers (HPLIP) need to be installed in order to print with CUPS. It looks like your model is one that is supported via a check on the HPLIP website. http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/laserjet/hp_laserjet_p2055dn.html There are a few topics here on HPLIP and the Raspberry Pi, ju...

Re: Boot error:end Kernel panic

I run the command on my RPi 2 based on raspbian: Hi, if you really need that package for compilation, you may need to change the package names to include the model of your pi, linux-image-rpi2-rpfv http://l0l.org.uk/2015/02/headaches-whilst-upgrading-to-raspberry-pi-2/ However, you may get a bit mo...
