Domo Arigato! Thank you so much. In thrashing around with network problems a few months ago, I modified that file on the problem pi. Restoring it to the original seems to have taken care of my problem.

I've 2 pi3s - dist-updated to the same version but they have been worked and have different histories. The issue is that one pi is not populating the resolve.conf file with dns entries when I connect to my network while the other does.
