Re: Packets In > 'Magic Happens' > Packets Out

Perfect mate. Just what I needed. Like I said, I've got it all setup alright. I followed the guide in the R-Pi book by Eben but I didn't really understand the ins and outs. Nice one

Re: Packets In > 'Magic Happens' > Packets Out

This is a very big question and is not specific to the Raspberry Pi. I suggest that you search the internet for "tutorial lamp server". You may find this useful... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LAMP_server I completely understand what your saying. I've read many tutorials and I'm nearly there. Just ...

Packets In > 'Magic Happens' > Packets Out

Hi all. I've been setting up my Pi as a LAMP server with Wordpress. As I'm still pretty new to Linux and computers in general, I encountered a few problems. After hours of searching around, I solved them and learnt a lot along the way. This is fine, but I still don't feel like I totally understand w...

Re: Help needed publishing my wordpress site.

Well. I left everything where it was last night. Came to it this morning and it works a treat. Thanks for all the help. I know its more of a wordpress issue, but can anyone point me in the right direction of redirecting my domain to the wordpress sub-directory? i.e. www.example.com loads my blog ins...

Re: Help needed publishing my wordpress site.

I can access my server from inside my network fine. I'm with BT. From what I can tell they don't block port 80. Cheers

Re: Help needed publishing my wordpress site.

If anyone can help me out with this I'd very much appreciate it. I've followed the guide in the R-Pi book to the word at least 5 times now. I've tried the same thing with a Pi and in a virtual machine with a bridged network connection. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My domain points to my extern...

Re: Help needed publishing my wordpress site.

Basically, what do I enter into the wordpress url and site url on the general settings page? And what files do I link to /etc/wordpress/config-localhost.php? As I mentioned above, I've ran sudo ln -s /etc/wordpress/config-localhost /etc/wordpress/config-192.168.1.79 and entered my ip info into the u...

Re: Help needed publishing my wordpress site.

Thanks for your reply. I have purchased a package with no-ip. This gives me dynamic dns and 50 subdomains to the domain I registered with them. I've set up the update client software on another computer and its working fine. Just need to know the finishing steps of getting my site from behind my rou...

Help needed publishing my wordpress site.

Hi all. Being following the guide 'Raspberry Pi as a web server' from the new book. I've managed to install the LAMP stack alright and installed wordpress with no trouble. I can log in to wordpress on the Pi and from the browser on another computer on the network. Where I'm having trouble is, how do...
