Re: Stretch graphics glitch

Any ideas ? Never use that program (pi-packages), but I just started it and I see the same. To me it looks like one or 2 terminal windows flashing up for a fraction of a second. No idea why that happens, though (shortcut settings don't force a terminal window) It's not just that program. AND ..... ...

Stretch graphics glitch

With Stretch (as opposed to Jessie) If I go >menu......>preferences.......>add/remove software The window opens, but there is a moment of it being black before showing the content. It is not only on this specific window, but it is one good example. I've tried all 3 GL driver settings to no avail. An...

Re: improve audio output

If you have a strong 5 volt supply,
you could use it to power the amp,
but it would be wiser (and simpler)
not to run the power through the Pi.

Re: Noobs for Jessie

Raspbian (Pixel)
Works WAY better (so far) than Stretch.
Plus Sonic-Pi (my main fun) is flawed on Stretch.
Hence wanting the minimal Jessie to try for

Re: Noobs for Jessie

What I would actually like is the Jessie version of Noobs Lite.
I've found (for some reason) if I download an image I can dd it
to SD a few times, but after that the resulting SD's don't boot.
Anyways I want to do a minimal Jessie ............
Thank You ! ............................

RawMidi to Timidity

I want to be able to send raw midi to Timidity, with realtime audio output. Timidity plays midi 'files' fine. I have finally gotten as far as being able (in the terminal) to hear a 'C' piano note with: @#$ amidi -p hw:1.0 -S'90 3C 7F' Supposedly the "device(?)" is /dev/snd/midiC1D0 When I send bytes...
