Interesting.

I also use blueman. No issues at all. I wasn't aware that the BT or WIFI was on the SoC (which is what the pi3 takes it's thermal readings from), Isn't it on the Broadcom BCM43438, which is on the bottom of the board?

Even if you can get BT audio to work in general, my understanding is it still won't work for OMXPlayer (built in media player for the pi).

Re: RPi3 random total lockup

Hi! I had problems with my RPi3 with overheating, and frequent freezes. Turns out it was the blutooth causing it, once I stopped using bluetooth I could even overclock it without any problems at all. It's been on for days now and I regularly play some psp and ps1 games on it. Hope that's some help ...

Re: Macbook Air compatibility

Seems like a lot of trouble and frustration to me considering you can get a decent DVI-D Monitor for like $20-$30, and a keyboard for $7, or just use an HDMI TV as the monitor. Most Mac/Apple users always gave me the impression of just wanting 'something ready out of the box", with minimal configura...

According to this, 20 MB/s or so speeds is all the sdcard bus will support. Perhaps you can double it with sdcard_overclock....so 40 MB/s....

Re: RPi3 random total lockup

Did you click my imgur URL though? It doesn't fit any of your descriptions The square is light cyan and blue, nothing like the orangish/brownish/yellowish/red you describe, nor multicolored like a rainbow I did, and it is a very poor image. Can't tell what it is (your TV's colors may be altering it...

Re: RPi3 random total lockup

You need to look at the color of that square... Orange/brownish/yellow//Red= overheating/throttling (get a heatsink/fan) Multi-colored like a rainbow= insufficient voltage (get a better power supply/micro USB cable) http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/28-19336 Thermal: http://s22.postimg.org/cbcc5...

klricks wrote:Is the red power LED constantly lit?
Yeah, if you have the pi3, and that red light is blinking, then you have voltage issues. Ditto if you see a multi-rainbow colored box upper right corner of screen. if that is the case, you might want to get a better power supply (5.1v 2.5A or 5.25V 2.4A).

What are the temps reported just prior to lock up/freeze/crash? Are you seeing a red colored square upper right hand corner of screen? If so, get a heatsink/fan.

Thanks for the replies. To clarify, I meant the Windows 10, like the one that runs on your laptop, not the IOT version. Kratos Windows 8.1 was compiled for ARM desktops, Win10 is also compiled, but it isn't public(ask for the CoreARM SKU, but I don't know which one at MS cares about that) Win 8/8.1...

Two ways: On a PC (or Apple or Android device) open using word, or native text editor: Insert micro sdccard in to reader, then open 'config.txt' file, make changes, save file.
