Re: Problème affichage

2GB? Really? Using Lite? That doesn't support a GUI? :?

Install full Jessie on the 64GB sdcard, and try again. Good luck.

I don't know what to tell you on that, try it with full jessie, download the image and write it to the sdcard with diskimager. See if that works https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ J'ai pas compris à quoi cela va me servir? It will tell you if the sdcard is working with the OS or not. I...

Re: Problème affichage

A 64GB sdcard is formatted as exfat (which the pi3 cannot use).

Use diskpart, to clean the sdcard, then write image using diskimager. Do not format it!

Or if you do, do a 32GB partition, and format that as fat32, then write image.

If it were me, I would just download and install full Jessie to the 16GB sdcard, not NOOBS, or lite. Just be sure to expand file system, and then go from there.

Re: Unjustified sales embargo belize?

In any event, that occurs in parts of the USA (postal workers/couriers stealing packages in for example Wisconsin Illinois) As I said, nothing to do with it being a 3rd world country, (though I'm not sure that most of the USA doesn't qualify in those terms). PeterO You can't be a third world countr...

Re: Unjustified sales embargo belize?

No. If you live anywhere where the postal service or local couriers steal packages you will be out of luck. Nothing to do with the 3rd world ;) PeterO I beg to differ. Considering that is what passes for "normal" in most third world countries. Belize was rated by the UN as the third most dangerous ...

Re: Unjustified sales embargo belize?

Just to confirm - There is no "embargo" against Belize, It is simply one of the countries that we do not (currently) ship to. Sadly, In our past experience, we have found the local shipping options to not be reliable enough - with far too many "misplaced" and delayed parcels to make it a viable com...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 super hot processor

That depends on the seller, and the returns/warranty provisions. This is all conjecture at this point. Wow! You have suppliers who will replace stuff you trash for free? I'm not disbelieving you. I've been to the US and seen that you can have a small (huge), medium (bathtub), or large (swimming poo...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 super hot processor

If it is only a week old, you may be able to return it for exchange at place of purchase. Usually you have 7-90 days or so. You shouldn't if you've broken it yourself. Given what the O/P said, it would be dishonest to send it back and expect the supplier to send them a new one. n.b. this only in re...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 super hot processor

How hot is "super hot"? Fingers are not really good temperature sensors, and the processor already got a better one built-in: /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp Ok, in this case "I-can't-touch-it-hot" is "74°C rising" hot. As for returning it, do you mean something like the fact that I bought it onl...

I'm looking to create a complete backup of my raspbian image in it's current state. I backup the 32GB sdcard raspbi...

Lot of users are complaining of similar issue with non-bootable devices...they all seen to have newy obtained Pi's with NOOBs preloaded.

@OP

You may want to reinstall Jessie.

I noticed that, while it boots normally, the BCM chip now gets VERY hot. Like I-can't-touch-it hot, and in a matter of seconds. It didn't run that hot before... Any ideas? I fried it? Ouch. Usually when that happens, it means the Pi is dying. Damaged beyond repair. The poly fuse would have prevente...

Re: Can't get my new Raspberry Pi to boot

Anyone who has customized their OS, needs to also seriously consider using dist-upgrade. Safer to stick with 'apt-get upgrade' instead. If you have something in your "customised" OS that depends on a particular version of a package being installed, then you are better off not even using upgrade. di...

I am trying to copy files in the Raspbian GUI, using file manager but I get permission denied
Open up file manager, click "tools", then "run a command in current folder"

enter this command (as given by dougielawson):

Code: Select all

gksudo pcmanfm
It will reopen FM as root.

Rasbian Jessie?

I have seen that a few times on my DVI-D monitor (usually after I messed with the OpenGL driver and set gpu_mem= too high.

Try this:

open your /config.txt in any text editor, and comment (#) out everything in there, then see if you boot up.
