Re: cardDAV / calDAV addressbook/calendar

I don't know why I didn't find it before, but Evolution supports cardDAV and calDAV!

Re: Bluetooth

Great! Why isn't it in my menu?? I restarted several times since I installed it... I don't understand that menu :-) Evolution isn't there, while I installed it, and in "Programs" there STAYS a program that I deleted in the menu editor, like days ago. Anyway... Pavucontrol only shows a "dummy-output"...

Re: Bluetooth

Yes, I did sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-module-bluetooth pavucontrol bluez-firmware . I also did amixer cset numid=3 0 and amixer cset numid=3 1 , because that worked once. I read somewhere to type this: sudo modprobe snd_bcm2835 , so I did. I use a HDMI to DVI connector, could that somehow expla...

Re: Bluetooth

Alas, sound KEEPS being a problem... After I posted the message everything worked, it went wrong again. So I followed the advice a got: first I read that PulseAudio could be the problem, so I removed that. That worked, I could here sound through 3.5 socket and HDMI. Then I installed blueman and puls...

OSMC and AZERTY

Hello, Since I don't want you to miss me too long: a new question :-) I'm experimenting with OSMC. Most things seem to work, except I get a unhappy face when I choose a video, from whatever plugin I installed. All audio seems to work. So it's not a problem with my internet connection. SOMETIMES I ge...

Re: OpenELEC on existing installation

If I 'm sure, if I'm really going to use OpenElec, I'll do that. For now, I only want to get to know it.

What about wiping OSMC from this card?

OpenELEC on existing installation

Hello Paspbarians, I read that OpenELEC is now part from the Noobs installer. Very nice. But... How can I install it on my existing SD (with Noobs - Raspbian + OSMC )? OSMC may be deleted, but Raspbian I just configured, added all the wanted software (and recently did all that for the second time :-...

Re: OSMC crashes (dual boot)

Somehow, now it works.
Differences: I have ethernet plugged in (in stead of Wifi) and I connected to a HDMI tv in stead of a DVI computer screen.

Maybe Wifi was to slow, or does OSMC need a input/output signal from the HDMI (just guessing).

Re: Bluetooth

I reinstalled Raspbarian on my SC card and this time, the Bose Soundlink showed up without a problem. I did install the Bleutooth manager and some ALSA and PulseAudio software, I think mostly the same as before, but probably not. I couldn't tell what I did different... (a pitty for future people wit...

cardDAV / calDAV addressbook/calendar

Hi, I use Fruux (fruux.com ) as my cloud sync address book and calender. It's easy to configure on Mac and Android. But I didn't find a way to use it on Raspbian. I'm trying IceWeasel and IceDove , but while there are plugins for Firefox , they don't work with Ice. The ones that say they add DAV sup...

Re: What to expect (how powerful is the Raspberry?)

I was using a 1A 5V power supply, that was causing the slowness! I read some wrong documentation. @Fidelius I used the openGL like you said, and that was no problem (no help either) when I used the 1A power supply. Now I'm using an iPad 2,1A5V (I ordered the Raspberry Pi Power Supply, but meanwhile....

Thanks @JimmyN! I found your answer a little late, because I forgot to subscribe to my own question. And there is no "see own messages" option in this forum, or I didn't find it yet :-). I'm going to check it out soon, I now have the same kind of trouble with the main menu. I edited that, I deleted ...

OSMC crashes (dual boot)

I reinstalled Raspbian with Noobs and choose to install OSMC as well, for dual booting. When I boot in OSMC, my screen changes from completely green, to completely red, then shows some text in too large font and goes black. In the process, I see the OSMC logo, but with badly drawn. Can I correct thi...

Re: New NOOBS doesn't contain OpenElec installer?

I'm a little bit afraid that swapping the SD cards often, it could damage the cards or cardslot. In the forum OpenELEC seems to be more popular then OSMC , so I would like to try that, and RiscOS . How could I add those systems if they're not with the first installation? OpenElec I checked out and i...

Re: Necessary Power Supply?

Yeah, stupid question. It wasn't a question really, I was "online realizing" what was going wrong :-) You where part of my stream of consciousness :-) It's because everything generally worked, I wasn't sure. I did my homework first and found: The device is powered by a 5V micro USB supply. Exactly h...

Necessary Power Supply?

On https://osmc.tv/wiki/ I read: Unfortunately, some power supplies advertise that they can output a good amount of current but fail to do so. Most power supplies used are simply mobile phone chargers and are thus never really tested to see if they can perform to their advertised specification as th...

Is How to force quit a program / the system? not a question? :-)

Thanks for the advice. Alas, for the moment I'm using a Mac keyboard, it's missing the magic button you mention... But I'm going to buy me another keyboard and then I'll try it out!

How to force quit a program / the system?

I tried ctrl + alt + Delete / Backspace / Escape / F2 / F7 Because all these I found somewhere mentioned. None of these worked. The complete system froze, but I think Clementine was the cause (indexing the DropBox -music, it's quite a lot). I found the terminal options, but I couldn't move the mouse...

And is there a good reason to try or install LXDE ? I mean: I just want a good working system. I want to learn all things necessary to maintain everything, I don't want to endlessly configure and test software. I want to spent my time selecting and listening good music and learning Processing :-)

The Soundlink is visible and connectible continuously. Long-pressing resets all paired devices. I tried to link a UE Bluetooth speaker. At that time, the terminal was scanning for devices. Audio equipment seems to have a slightly different way of connecting then other stuff... I'll try again later! ...

Re: Bluetooth

Thanks Dougy and Laurens. I have the Blueman installed, but where should I look for it? I didn't see an applet to install. I tried the terminal , and it works for scanning (I see my neighbours Nokia :-) ). But it didn't see my Bose Soundlink. I'll try to clean the Bluetooth connections on the Bose, ...
