Re: API for controlling USB port power?

reply to k6rtm on API to USB power I think that any USB device always needs 5V power supply as far as it is plugged into a host in order for the device and also for the host itself to communicate in between. And if your objective is to protect power for one from another, then you will be required mo...

Re: No USB power, 'over-current change'

reply to edo1 on No USB power
I often think that Raspberry Pi users are recommended to use voltage check tool like multi-meter.
Practically a Power Supply Unit of 5V-2A might output only 3.3V-2A, 4.4V-1A, 5.2V-0A e.g..

Re: Can't get simple LED circuit to work after installing NO

reply to samurray7981 on LED on I think that you need to know firstly about LED characteristics and so their data sheets are useful for your Pi activity. Also it is helpful that the wavelength of emitted light in relation to the energy gap of the LED that causes the on-voltage, so red LEDs are on wi...

Re: Can't get simple LED circuit to work after installing NO

reply to samurray7981 on LED I recommend you to test that your "LED and register" works well with 3V battery prior to connect to the Pin and the ground. And also to check the voltage at the Pin with a multi-meter or a wave-scope tool like DSO nano if you think to go further to use Pins with LEDs etc...

reply to groundcontroltom on silent HDMI It may not be a direct answer to your issue but for our discussions. Re: set max USB power / current on the Pi 2 B?

reply to davenull on max USB supply Yes, I agree with your asking 2A that comes from 500mAx4 is reasonable although such condition seems not be assured by all the PCs. And I often think that our USB devices are not fully 5V power supplied because of losses of contact conditions and cables. I mean an...

I always think that settings of limitings are all known visibly or with alerts.
In the USB power case, limiting scheme is welcome with showing status of current current applied.
