Re: Audio clipping on digital output?

reply to tooobe all, on Audio clipping I think that people believe all the digital systems are transparent, input, save and output digital data (CD quality of 16bit 44k PCM at least) without any degradation as far as with no digital effects applied. Sound volume is simply controlled by analog tools ...

Batteries and converters requires you to check voltages at several loading conditions with ease by a multi-meter.

I think that you need to check things step by step as
spec of your bidirectional display, bidirectional HDMI cable , RPi's HDMI specification and available software etc..

A solution for you might be with a hand made cable and plug that is not bulky and fully flexible, comfortable.

You can select several diodes showing different drop voltages for AC power and for Batteries etc. to manage condition of...

Re: converting currents from wires to create an input signal

reply to rhuff76 on converting currents It seems that your image differs from Pi's input. Weather sensors as thermistor, thermocouple or Platinum wire work all with own circuits in specific and then converted to digital by ADC but of 3v3 then to Pi input. reply to niicody on GPIO trouble
You mean just you try to check your GPIO pin status as it is, not strange.
Please try your pin to 3v3 through 1k ohm register and see Python, and to ground and see Python, then you will find both your GPIO and script work well as you expect.

It seems that your hardware may be build easier with USB than through GPIO,
ex. Super4 USB 4ch relay (up to 250VAC-5A) with Linux software by TCTEC,
