Re: Hdmi hotplug not usefull

The same way Raspbian configuration utility knows about resolutions of TV, the same way it should be possible to do it via terminal and with trigger on hdmi connection to RPi. It is all about automation on thing that exist and work if I do it manually. But if I have to do it manually, then I rather ...

Desktop preferences not saving changes on RPi4 with Buster

I am not able to change anything in Desktop preferences (pipanel). It is always reverted to default settings. I checked config file (~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE-pi/panels) for write permissions. It is very anoying.

Re: Minidlna Discovery Problem

No, I don't want to start from scratch. But last time I did it I installed Raspbian Stretch so it was quite recently. If I enable dlna on Kodi it will appear on the network but then after few seconds it disappear. If I manage to open it on my Android phone, I can also play videos and everything work...

Just tried and Plex also doesn't work. I also have Kodi installed and there is also dlna and it doesn't work. Looks like a hardware issue?

I have the same issue. Maybe it is Android related. I am trying to connect with my Android S9. Any feedback would be great.

Re: Raspberry Pi and 4k @ 15Hz

I am running Kodi on top of the Raspbian Stretch latest version. All that connected to my very old TV that is not 4K supported. Now if I run UHD video my Kodi freezes every time and I need to reboot the whole system. What do I need to do to be able to play videos, I don't care if video will be down ...

Re: Resize image for use on a smaller sd card

Yesterday I tried to use PiShrink on my laptop. I have Jumper book, where I installed on internal eMMC card Windows 10 and Kubuntu 18.04 in dual boot. I did backup of entire device (mmcblk1) with dd command, and did shrinking of it. During the process I received some messages that something is wrong...

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

This question will probably sound very silly, but: how do I use this to control kodi on raspberry 3? I've tried running it from both another instance of vnc, and ssh and in both cases i get something along the lines of pi@malina:~/dispmanx_vnc $ sudo ./dispmanx_vncserver Read config file: ./dispman...

It is pretty simple, I just had to install

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install php7.0-xml
that was missing.

eXtplorer on Rpi3

Hi,

is it possible to setup eXtplorer on Raspberry pi (latest Stretch). My idea is to put it on Apache and without using mysql database.
If one know how to do it please share steps. So far I tried doing unziping of files and putting them into www folder but no luck.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue with write permissions. Everybody are talking about manual mounting with fstab, nobody understand how automount is working on Raspbian and where to change default configuration. Very frustrating I must say!

Re: Chromium missing from stretch

After removing archive.raspberrypi.org source everything is updated fine. System is not updated so pcmanfm is having nice features which I don't want to lose. Kodi is also working fine. Now I will run sudo apt-get upgrade to see if things will stay like this. Yes everything is fine no new upgrades.
