Re: Sense HAT + Argon One Case?

This is I believe a match to the one that's already attached to the sense hat.

Re: Sense HAT + Argon One Case?

The booster header is the cheapest option, but just be aware that any heat given off by the Pi is going to mess with the sensors on the Sense Hat. Especially the temperature sensor. Its been an issue for me, and a few others. Heat rises. ;)

Isn't there a magnetically-attached access panel on the Argon One case, revealing the 40-pin GPIO connector?
Yes, both for the 3b case and 4b case, easy access to the header but extension is likely required for hats.
Yeah, I think your going to likely need a booster header for clearance.

Re: Sense HAT + Argon One Case?

Isn't there a magnetically-attached access panel on the Argon One case, revealing the 40-pin GPIO connector? Yes, but is there enough room to plug the sense hat in on top, and not block cooling openings etc? Heat transfer from the Pi SOC to the Hat will mess with the sensor readings, especially tem...

Re: dual multitouch

I've been wondering why this functionality is missing in Raspbian/ Pi OS for a while now? Nobody (official) seems to want to answer that question? The Official Pi Foundation Touch screen supports 10 finger touch, but all you get in the Official OS is single touch, not even right click functionality?...

Re: Display for Raspberry pi 4 8GB RAM

The issue isn't really the hardware, its the software. Specifically, what version of the OS your running. A lot of these GPIO connected screens need a custom kernel. An OS upgrade like going to new version of Raspbian / Pi OS often breaks that. And you have to use the latest on a PI 4, Stretch etc w...

Re: How many pi's do YOU own?

You can't buy more than "one at a time" from retailers, but as far I know you can own as many as you want. I can only ever add 1 Pi Zero "or" 1 Pi Zero W to an order. Any time I have tried to order one of each or two or more of one type, it was refused. I'm not complaining, I'm fine with that, it gi...

Re: How many pi's do YOU own?

I like to keep 1 or 2 on hand with no header soldered on, just in case I want to do something fancy. I have quit a few Pi Zero's with female headers and 90 degree headers on them. That lets me plug them into Pimoroni's Min Black Hat Hack3r or pHat Stack and ditch the hassle of using a ribbon cable.

Re: Strange issue with my BME280: it works, but i can't detect it

What driver / software library did you install for it? it's a self contained code. you run it once, it give you the ID and the result. If you want to know a bit less, I can suggest looking at Adafruit or Pimoroni code. Here's a link for Pimoroni code, on the there a link to some example etc. https:...

Re: on/off switch + fan

I have a Pimoroni Fan Shim setup on my Pi 4B. The fan can be turned on off via temperature control with the Pimoroni software. It also has a R,G,B LED that will change color based on CPU temperature. And a button that can be used to do a proper shutdown, and boot up. It doesn't remove power to the P...

When I worked for Transport Canada and then NavCanada as an electronic technician, all log entries where done in UTC. Re: Switch to turn on and off the P4

I do it via a dtoverlay, dtoverlay=gpio-shutdown . Momentarily grounding GPIO 3 will have Raspbian / Pi OS do a proper shutdown. And by default, grounding that pin again will have it boot back up. As long as you don't unplug the power supply. Enabling i2c will stop the shutdown from working via GPIO...

Re: How do i change the time

IMHO adding a RTC is the way to go if you want accurate date and time on bootup. I have a couple of portable setups that there is no guarantee that they will be able to connect via WIFI. And they display the date and time, plus other info. Adding a RTC saves manually having to reset the date and tim...

I'm with pidd, thermal past is great for close contact scenario's. With any kind of gap I'd be using a thermal pad, and one that is the same of close to the same thickness as what was in there originally.

Re: Help to insta windows 10 arm in rasberypi 4b

There is no ARM Windows for the Raspberry Pi. Is it possible to install windows on a raspberry pi. Not on a Pi 4 no. You can install Windows 10 Internet of Things on a Pi 3B but Windows 10 IoT isn't your standard Windows. It's a very basic and IMHO limited interface. And I think you'll need some Vi...
