Re: Being able to choose OS headlessly

If the OP is using the NOOBS Installer everything is documented here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs In particular: https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs#how-to-bypass-the-recovery-splashscreen-and-boot-directly-into-a-fixed-partition What I want is to be able to choose an OS being headless wh...

Re: Being able to choose OS headlessly

Also, isn't there a way where you just write the name of the partition you want to boot into /sys/something/or/other...? Yes, there is a way which I came by a bit ago and everyone seems to be suggesting that. But that's not what I want, I want to turn on the RPi and have a way to choose which OS I ...

Re: Being able to choose OS headlessly

NOOBS does it by setting a flag that determines which partition the next boot uses. I can't remember how to set it right now, but a search should dig up something. I know what you are talking about, configuring the boot OS, saw it in a post somewhere. But what I want is to turn on the computer and ...

Being able to choose OS headlessly

I recently did changes to my RPi 2 and now it has LibreElec and Raspbian Pixel.

I can use vnc on both operating systems but if I want to switch OS, I must hook it up to a monitor/keyboard to select it at boot.

Is there a way to headlessly choose an OS when I turn on the RPi?

Thank you!

If I install LCD screen, will I lose HDMI/Cmpsite output?

I want to install a little LCD touchscreen, question is, will that cut off HDMI and composite outputs entirely or is there a way to still be able to view the Rpi hooking it to a bigger screen through HDMI or composite?

Thank you!

I lose composite video once I select an OS

Hi all,

I have an issue, I turn on my Rpi 2 and press shift, then "4" so I see noob's menu on my TV.
But once I select the OS, whichever I select (got Raspbian and OMSC Kodi) I lose video signal.

Any solutions?

Thank you

Lots of how hissing/static Kodi/OSMC

Hello everyone, I finally have my multimedia center playing, got a pair of Creative speakers hooked to my RPI 2 running the last version of Kodi inside OSMC. Problem is, if I raise the volume in my speakers beyond 1/4 of a turn, I get a lot of hissing noise both while playing a song and when not, EV...

Installing touchscreen

Hello, I recently purchased this screen: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111717376150?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It came with no instructions, only its stylus pen. I have tried following this installation guide: http://www.circuitbasics.com/setup-lcd-touchscreen-raspberry-pi/...

Re: Transmitting pandora from phone to Raspberry Pi

Probably your best options for playing the Pandora stream on a Raspberry Pi are: 1. Install pianobar on the Pi. No phone needed. 2. Stream your phone's audio to the Pi over Bluetooth. I just thought, install an apk emulator in the Pi to run the same app directly from the pi may work. I still got to...

"transmit pandora" is not really clear enough to be sure what you are asking about. "transmit pandora" is not really clear enough to be sure what you are asking about. Yes, see, there's an application called Pandora and there is a version for android. Android is an open OS used in phones and tablet...

Transmitting pandora from phone to Raspberry Pi

Hello all, My Raspberry Pi is still in transit to my hands, my main project at the moment is a music server with my Pi. I found out there's pandora for Pi, however I do have Pandora One on my phone, is there a way to transmit pandora from my phone to the Pi over WiFi? I was reading info about PiUi b...
