i2c code samples C/WiringPi: PCF8591, MCP23017, Arduino

hello, I would like to connect i2c devices like PCF8574, PCF8591, MCP23017, and Arduino to my Rpi. Is there a tutorial about how to connect them, and are there i2c code samples available for this which are tested and work failsafe so that I can use them out-of-the-box? Some different setups for usin...

Re: OpenVG library updates

hello, is this now the final font handling change which you have announced before? Or will there be one more change which makes it even more easy just to include either font type as a *.ttf file in some subdirectory? My next change (the only other thing at the moment I'd like to play with) will be t...

Re: integrate my Rpi into my Windows working group

however - seems to work with the Windows workgoup nevertheless.
But is there really no way to access the Rpi root folders /etc /bin /media and so on via samba from a Windows PC?
That is strange because I may have all root rights!

integrate my Rpi into my Windows working group

I would like to integrate my Rpi into my Windows working group ("MSHOMENET"), to be able to access shared PC drives and folders and files from the Raspi and share Raspi folders and files with the PCs. All PCs and the Raspi have the same IP pattern 192.168.2.x, the Wifi router and DNS Server is 192.1...

Re: is there a "mark forum as read" button?

ok, but is it not more likely that one needs accessing the forum on a PC / Laptop monitor or perhaps directly on a large Raspberry screen (HDMI?) when programming and browsing in the internet? Why would one need normally a phone when working with the Raspberry? A notepad, ok, but a telephone? At lea...
