Re: Size limit for micro SD card?

Cards >= 64 Gbyte come formatted as exFAT which (current) NOOBS cannot use. Unfortunately NOOBS will never be able to boot from exFAT cards, as it's actually the early-startup (very minimal) firmware hard-wired into every BCM2835 SoC that is only able to load bootcode.bin from a FAT-formatted parti...

Re: Initial switch on problem

I've seen the "Error: Can't have a partition outside the disk!" error before and it usually indicates that someone has used 'dd' to copy NOOBS from one SD card onto a slightly smaller SD card. (and hence the partition-table ends up saying that the partition is bigger than the entire disk) The fix is...

Re: Micro SD card problems

Sounds like you're also getting https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/issues/174 Make sure you 'safely remove' the SD card after copying NOOBS to it, and if you still get the error see https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/issues/174#issuecomment-35086338 https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/issues/17...

Fairly sure that the LED is nothing to do with this though.

Re: The Raspberry Pi Model B+ Q&A thread

I thought GPIO 0/1 were used for the CAM interface? and that is why it was changed from revision 1 to revision 2. On the Rev 1 Model B Pis, GPIOs 0/1 (I2C-0) are connected to P1 pins 3/5, and GPIOs 2/3 (I2C-1) are connected to the CSI (camera) port. On the Rev 2 Model B Pis, GPIOs 2/3 (I2C-1) are c...

That's odd, never seen that error message before :?

Can you use e.g. http://oss.digirati.com.br/f3/ to check that your SD card is "fully working" ?

Maybe your power-supply simply isn't capable of supplying enough juice to power your wifi-dongle (and it's dropping out), or maybe your wifi-dongle is entering power-saving mode?

Re: Red color in the middle of the camera

Dougie's right 8-) Typing zcat /usr/share/doc/raspberrypi-bootloader/changelog.Debian.gz | more on your Raspberry Pi will show you the update-history of the apt-get installed firmware (in reverse order, i.e. newest at the top). And 'vcgencmd version' will give you the version (and date) of your curr...

Re: Simulating keyboard events (?) in Python

Sounds like you could simply do something like: send_keycodes = [30, 32, 34] # etc. for code in send_keycodes: device.emit_click((1, keycode)) time.sleep(0.5) (assuming of course that the ev_type is indeed always 1 for every keycode you need to send - which you should be able to verify by looking at...

Re: Run two python scripts one after another

Why not just create a single Python script that does what you want? Using two separate python scripts seems to be making it more complicated than necessary.

But if that's what you really want :?

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
while true; do
  python script1.py
  sleep 5
  python script2.py
  sleep 5
done

Re: Running a perl script with parameters in a file

Sounds like there's a bug in the mameGenXml.pl script - it's not checking to see if the directory exists before opening it (which is why you're getting the 'invalid dirhandle' errors). Double-check the paths you're giving as arguments to the perl script actually exist.
