Re: Howto: Disable Screen Saver In Raspbian

thank you, yes, I just intended the screen always to be visible, no black screen, no screen power save mode.
I followed your instructions just right now, and I'm observing wht's happening... ;)

edit:
30 min passed, everything is still on
Thanks again! :)

Re: Howto: Disable Screen Saver In Raspbian

Is there anyway of contacting the Raspian team to give us the information to turn screensaver off ? I'm also interested to disable the screen saver completely, once and forever. But reading through this topic I don't understand anything about how to do it now - perhaps the solution is just obscured...

anyway, it's fine FTM.
Thank you!

Re: sh: can't access tty: job control turned off /#

no idea what was going on.
I unplugged the T-Cobbler and all power source cables from the devices, and replugged them all anew.
Now it's fine again, just like it was before with the battery source.

Re: sh: can't access tty: job control turned off /#

I have a Pi 2,
on the DC converter label is written "5V 3A" (4A short) ,
the wall plug is 5V 2A.

But this error message above is known to be shown at low voltage?

sh: can't access tty: job control turned off /#

hi, plugging my Pi to my 12V/5V DC /DC converter, the Pi don't boot, the screen shows "sh: can't access tty: job control turned off /#" ( 2 different converters, same error) re-plugging to a 230V/5V AC/DC wall converter, the Pi boots fine. Unfortunately I can't measure the voltage of the USB plug. w...

Re: 5.3v charger

the Samsung charger of the OP has a standard USB plug, so is it not supposed to apply to the USB voltage standard then?
Anyway, using a 2-5m USB cable will keep one on the safe side perhaps, though.

Re: is 2.29 the current wiringPi release?

thank you, I found the update link (on my PC) but I couldn't find the number of the latest version.
which is the cmd to read the wiringPi version which I have installed on my Pi?
Is there a change log from 2.29 to 2.32?
Noticeable enhancements?
Perhaps incompatibilities?

So you can only make calls on active threads thanks, that was the missing information which I did not understand. I thought that once having initialized at the start pthread_t thread0, thread1, thread2, thread3, thread4, thread5; then I faultily supposed all those IDs to be sort of fixed values and...

H2testW:

Bis hierher geschriebene Testdaten können trotzdem geprüft werden.

Re: SD full format fails but not Quickformat

the USB SD reader was built-in into my Windows PC (5 years old), so I actually doubt that it's incompatible (CMIIW). the card is new, and files can be stored on it, so it can't be completely damaged or a fake IMO. Although the card is new, there may be some defective sectors on it, agreed - but why ...

sorry, it was perhaps a little unspecific how I expressed it: by pthread kill or perhaps pthread_cancel(threadID) is only intended in case of urgent emergency reasons, I meant : I personally want to do it only in these cases. OTOH, by My question was more about how to poll the current runstate, both...
