Re: Slice of pi - GPIO breakout board

http://shop.ciseco.co.uk/slice-of-pi/ says:

At a special price of £3.14

Yet it's £3.25 ex VAT

Regardless, that's a nice bit of kit - could definitely come in handy!

Re: SDL - 2D Accelleration

<t>Seems about right to me, remember you're running your code on a single core 700mhz ultra low-power CPU (which they compare to a 300mhz Pentium II), not a dual/quad-core 64bit desktop-class CPU. Even a virtual/emulated machine (like QEMU) will be faster than that.<br/> <br/> X isn't currently hard...

P.s. does directfb also have opengl ES 2.0?

I'd really like to know this too, OpenGL ES outside of X11 is something I really want to do

Re: DirectFB

I'm very glad to hear DirectFB is being ported to the Raspi, the project I have in mind would ideally not use X11, so this would be perfect!

You'd need a physical adapter for the mini HDMI, but it looks promising!

Re: RPi Addon boards

None of this is possible in any way! The RasPi isn't a typical PC

And when you say "extra USBs" then use a USB hub, powered or not

Re: SquirrelMail

<r>You shouldn't have any problems installing SquirrelMail, though this is just one small part of setting up a mail server (SquirrelMail is just a webmail interface for an existing mail server). I've not done it myself, but the following tutorial might help you:<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.debia...
