Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

That's what all the blurb says ... Pimoroni Amazon and of course RasPi themselves Re the screen change; Image_window = 0 gives the smaller window, but has a black bar down the right side before the buttons, about the width of the bottom two buttons (maybe a little wider) but also loses everything un...

Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

OK, it arrived while I was out, and I did the assembly yesterday; have tried the app this evening, with mixed results ... First, let me say that I'm doing this in Testing mode only, as I haven't got a camera yet (trying to find some guidance on whether to get the classic camera or the Noir version ....

Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

Hi Gordon,

I'm expecting a new RasPi + the Touchscreen in a few days (tomorrow with luck), and was wondering if you've been able to test/verify your app etc with this config ?

Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

Hi Gordon, Wasn't sure whether the LCAs were needed or not; looks like I'll need to get some ordered ;) and a suitable cable to cannibalise ! Re the cable ... somewhere I have an old-style serial cable; I've been meaning to get either a USB or BT connection done, but not got around to it  Too ...

Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

Cheers for that, will come in useful - but it seems I wasn't clear  My bad ! It's the hardware side I'm mainly thinking about; you have various pieces in earlier posts, I'm trying to work out what is needed to connect the RasPi to the ST-4 port (industry standard, fortunately  ) on the LX...

Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

Hi,

New to the board, as this project has caught my attention :D Hoping to be able to use this to autoguide my Meade LX200.

Is there a zip file with the instructions etc for this project anywhere ?

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi, I'm Mike, and quite new to the Pi, although not to computers (among other things, I dabble with PICs, so hopefully the Pi should be straight-forward ! ). I'm aiming later this year to get into using my Pi, and probably will buy a new one as well, as I have two projects in mind : utilizing ...
