I wanna know how could I program it to make it like Christmas light's 1 on 1 off second on and keep looping.

What I did was 
I wanna code it that it could be a pattern going like 1 Led on wait 1 sec Turn of And Turn the second one and It would keep looping. Thanks!

I saw a way but I don't remember it could anyone help It included only wires and a LED and a raspberry pi with a breadboard of course. A picture would help.
