Re: Can't Update the UI inside the timer callback event

Been a while since I have done this, but if you use INotifyPropertyChanged on your view model, just updating the mode should trigger the screen to update. Something along these lines from the docs: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.componentmodel.inotifypropertychanged(v=vs.110).aspx H...

Re: Installing applications

Depends on what you app does. There is no desktop and in that case a shell to manipulate windows and the such.

The display can only be a single application using xaml.

If you can convert your app to the Universal Application Platform, it should work.

Re: Supported USB Devices, Build Notes/Images

A new drop yesterday:

Seems that they are working on supporting a number of USB cameras, but have not released any sort of list yet.

Re: Windows 10 IoT Speech SDK

There is a new drop of the OS as of yesterday. The Release Notes claim that there was work in the audio area.

I have not had a chance to check this out myself.

I will this weekend though.

Re: GPIO Manual

There is also the beginnings of documentation on the class libraries at:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar ... .gpio.aspx

There are a lot of "coming soon" type entries, but it should give you a feel for things that you can do and ways to interact with the GPIO.

Re: Strange colourful shapes whilst booting.

I do know that the graphics drivers are currently "under development". I see some weirdness at boot as well.

What is the resolution of the monitor?

Did the same thing myself.

My version is at: http://pulcher.biz/talks/2015/05/19/fla ... e-sd-card/

Seems a lot of people want todo this. :)

Re: Windows 10 IoT Speech SDK

Currently the neither the microphone nor the audio out is available, so unless you are adding an external shield I doubt that any type of audio out(speech or otherwise) is supported.
