Re: Constant Polling application for Event Hub as Receiver

Go here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/event-hubs-csharp-ephcs-getstarted/ This demo does what you are asking. It implements IEventProcessor, which after fired up will continuously poll for the new info from the event hub. I did this last night. In the same solution I have...

Re: Problem with flashing win10 to SD card

I have gotten the flashing part to work with out a Windows 10 box.

I know it works on 8.1, but I don't know if it will work on 7.

What are the capabilities of the SD card?

In every problem that I have seen so far like yours, the culprit has been cheap, not up to spec SD cards.

Re: Install Windows 10 on Raspberry Pi 2 B

8 GB is large enough. However you need a Class 10 card. I am not up on all the naming of things, so I don't know what classes are available in microSDHC. However, I do know that not all SD cards meet their ratings. Had two "identical" cards from EmTech. One worked and one didn't. I got a "deal" on t...

There is a new version that dropped last week.

The msi has a date of July 12th.

Oh and VS 2015 RC projects are not compatible with the RTM version.

Re: Win Iot for RPi2 and SSH?

I am pretty sure that putty is not the "official" client. It just happened to be mentioned in the docs. There are a number of assumptions that are made by the devs of the various ssh clients. If things don't line up correctly, then there is no connection. I will see if I can figure this out in the n...

Re: Win Iot for RPi2 and SSH?

Just tried this from a mac using the standard terminal window.

Don't have a Linux box on my current network, or I would give it a go.

I do know that ssh that I have loaded along with posh-git doesn't want to work for some reason.

Re: Visual Studio remote machine connection problem

If you have the networking set to the default of DHCP, the ip address will probably change every time you boot the rpi. You can get can set the ip address for the project by going to Project > Project Properties > Debug. Since I don't really have a domain setup, I haven't played with setting up a na...

Re: cant auto start my app in starting raspberry pi in windo

Fire up a ps or ssh session and show up what the output of the following command is:

IotStartup startup

Also, what is the name of the thing you are trying to start?

BTW, there can only be one program at startup that access the Display.

You need to set the output to "Remote Device", and then update the properties to point to the current ip address of your rpi.

You can find the the windows share on the lan. You do not need the watcher. It is only there as a tool. The path to the share on the rpi is \\<your ip address>\c$ For a more complete description head over to: http://ms-iot.github.io/content/en-US/win10/samples/SMB.htm Or if FTP is your thing: http:/...

It may not be "plug" compatible, so you will have to wire this up. From the adafruit product page: The PN532 is also very flexible, you can use 3.3V TTL UART at any baud rate, I2C or SPI to communicate with it The current iot release seems to support i2c: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/win...

Re: Ideas for creating a line chart?

It is XAML, thanks to silverlight there should be a number of chart like XAML based controls around. I haven't used any myself, but I would bet that a number of them may just work. Sounds like the rpi2 would be better to include instead of an entire laptop. I will have the same issue coming up in on...

If the source code is available, there is a tool to alert you to problems converting your app to a be able to run on a rpi.

Don't know anything about it, other than it exists. I currently don't have anything I want ported. :)

Re: existing Visual C# 2010 app - will this work on Win10 Io

Windows IoT has the capability of running universal apps and having a xaml based ui. Classic Winforms will not work, but if you app is WPF based converting it to a Universal app should get you there.

The only problem being that there can be only one app with a UI running at a time.

I am curious as well. I have been following the dev of Windows 10 core IoT for a long time. This is the first that I have heard it called Windows Embedded. There was a windows embedded product in the past, but Windows 10 core IoT is not that. It is more closely related to the windows server core tha...
