Re: element14 payement safety to

That's exactly why you have PayPal and similar services.. you pay with your credit card.. but the vendor doesn't even get your card NUMBER! It's Brilliant!!!!

And any vendor who don't accept PayPal are complete and utter idiots! I'm sorry to say. It's a freaking no-brainer!

@pygmy_giant

yes most likely when they came out with the 700mA recommended figure they would have taken in consideration the standard peripherals and then some.

Re: Cycle computer

there is no-way jose that you will go under 3W with that amount of devices running simultaneously.

also keep in mind USB data bandwidth is not infinite, since you are going to connect several devices that will require faster than real-time read/write of the video files.

what are you thinking of using it for? you wouldn't be able to use an operating system on that resolution.

One thing to consider in the automotive scene is operating and storage temperatures, for instance, I don't know how well the RPi would cope with the typical -35C winters over here.

I wouldn't gamble on a weak power source, if your PSU at any one time even for a very brief moment comes up short of the demanded power your system will crash I guarantee it.
