Re: Raspberry Pi... In a laptop

<t>Good luck with your project, but I see talk about "high end laptop" systems.. the RPi doesn"t really qualify for that, looking at it general performance wise, it barely even competes with today"s netbooks.<br/> <br/> Also if you think about how exactly a product goes from design, to manufacture, ...

Try to do a forum search for other posts about bluetooth dongles and I'm sure you'll find enough information to proceed from there.

Re: Drivers Logitech PS3 Bluetooth keyboard

There is no bluetooth built in on the RPi so you have to fix that first, and you should find out if the drivers you are using for the keyboard/touchpad are available on linux.

I went over and looked at that site "ninjablocks"

I'm not normally a paranoid guy but hell, I would never buy a device that can upload live feed images and other various information about my home to a 3rd party server..

Re: Cheap 7" TFT for RPI - Chinch

connectors look a bit iffy, would probably work with some tinkering

but 480 x 234 is a very low res display also unless you install it in car you'll need to come up with your own power supply, I assume standard 12V as in car batteries.

Re: DIY? is there a way to build my own RPi ?

the LAN9512 component is perfectly well hand-solderable since it uses pins.

You'd be surprised at how easy it is to solder small detail when you have proper flux, solder mask on the board, and correct size tip and wire.

if you can discharge 5V ± 5% DC from a cactus on wires made of tinfoil then that would work just fine, just be sure the cactus can supply sufficient current (700mA recommended)
