Re: OS X 10.4/6

I probably can't do it myself, I am a coding N00B! However I would like to push people to try and do it because it looks very much possible. http://elinux.org/Rpi_kernel_compilation#OS_X ^ I think this is about porting the Kernel for OS X top R-Pi... Not sure... LOL But I am fairly sure you can get...

Re: Android On RasPi

You want Android, I got Android. I found out that I can simply port 2.2 (Froyo) onto the RasPi! I have the files etc.. As soon as I get it onto my Raspberry Pi, I will show you screenshots and I will give you a tutorial on how to do it. So has anyone actually done this or is this more of a "the the...

MeeGo Harmattan for RasPi?

Can it run on the Raspberry Pi? I assume it can, as it is open source and supports arm architecture. IMO it would be a great OS for users who want a simple to use system. Does anyone plan to make a working port of it? (One thing is not clear for me: I know it is somehow related to Qt (or QtonPi), bu...

Re: Over Voltage USB PSUs

usb standard is 5volts +/- 5% (0.25volt) plus you measured it without any load (it'd drop with load), so i'd say it will be perfect if it supplies enough amps plus if i recall correctly, (but take a look at the schematics) the power input does not have any data lines connected, it is only +5V and GN...

Re: Android On RasPi

That's ICS directly on top of the Linux kernel in qemu. No extra stuff. In Feb I spent about 3 weeks merging the last-used Android Linux kernel with the then-current rpi patches and brought it up in qemu with the same sort of resources. I then got bored of waiting for my kit and haven't bothered pi...

Re: Raspberry Pi is incompatible with Unicomp USB keyboards

i guess it's more your power supply's then the raspberry's fault

if usb voltage drops below 4.75v during 100% cpu it means your psu is just not powerful enough

Re: MPEG-2 Decoding

do you plan to release a decoder codec-pack addon? (of course with reasonable a fee) probably mpeg2, wmv/vc-1 and ac3, maybe dts would be enough to satisfy many people (as afaik you have only xvid and h264 licensed)

i'd say get a very high bitrate 1080p video (for the gpu) with dts-es 7.1 soundtrack (for the cpu) via network/usb

or look for some arm linux benchmark programs
