Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

i.e. if youtube video is playing on omxplayer and only 25 perc has been buffered, if i try and seek to the last 90 perc of the video , then would this be the cause of omxplayer crashing out?

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

the overscan was causing the problem with the video offset, so that is ok now thanks. I have the latest omxplayer 2-april-2015, when the youtube video is playing and i use the seek bar at the bottom of the video, most times omxplayer just shuts down. Ive tried it on a downloaded video and the seek b...

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

Ive downloaded the latest version of kweb and omxplayer. Ive got a problem when playing videos on guiomxplayer, the actual video window does not seem to sit next to the scroll bars, i.e. it looks like the video window is offset (both to the left and upwards about 50 pixels) from the actual window fr...

the 74181 and 74ls181 are almost the same the LS just denotes Low power high Speed ebay.com sells old stock. dont see the harm in using off the shelf 1k memory chips, they are just collections on nand gates anyway. lots of examples on google and youtube of people that have done the same also tempted...

Re: Remote access

maybe he wants remote user to connect pi to the serial port (of a piece of factory equipment i guess), the pi would also have internet access (which should be easy). He then wants pi to transmit the serial port data to his laptop (via internet) so he can run his app which looks at data. thus saving ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 2 RCA audio / video question

Im also confused about the audio/video socket. Im using HDMI to my LCD computer monitor (so no sound) so connect a normal 3.5mm 3 pin audio jack into pi audio/video and then the other end into my amplified speakers. I use a piece of plastic stuck into the socket to cover the video pin which is desig...

Password Manager for PI

Anyone know a good password manager app which works on the PI?

Also I'm using Libreoffice Calc for some finance work, and can password protect it using a password, so it cannot be opened without password.

Not sure how secure that is

maybe with option to select resolution of download i.e. non hd or hd.

but thats just an idea :D

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

Kweb is great, and Youtube-dl and omxplayer work great as well. BUT when i play youtube videos they always default to HD, which my broadband cannot cope with. I would like to play them using the -f 18 (320p i think) youtube resolution, instead of the default -f 22 option (720p). In the settings/conf...
